Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365
Veeam Backup for Office 365 is being used to backup all Office 365 data. It allows us to retrieve information that may have been deleted (accidentally or intentionally) from the online data repositories after the data is no longer available from Microsoft. This is especially true of email where there is a limited window to recover deleted items from Exchange online.
Pros
- Easily configured
- Set and forget, runs reliably
- Easy restoration to item level
Cons
- Would like to be able to set backup to all except specified accounts. This will ensure new O365 accounts will get included in the backup automatically.
Needed to check historic records to ascertain whether email had been deleted.
We have had to restore shared mailboxes that had experienced unintentional folder deletions. Simple restore to .pst and then merged lost data.
Yes, restoring mail to .pst so as not to interrupt live mail activity
No favourite features. It does the job it has been purchased for.
This is the only product used for this purpose.
