Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication
Veeam is used for backup of essential VM. Recovery is as easy as boiling an egg. For quick recovery, we use VM copy. It allows us to start a VM to yesterday's state after a crash. Recovery of files in a VM is done with a file explorer like interface. Same for SQL recovery. Simple interface, easy to use.

- Application-centric recovery using Veeam Explorers (for Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, etc)

- Instant VM recovery. If on a disk, VM is restored instantly.
- Explorer like restore makes it easier.
- VM copy to different data stores in different locations in case of disaster.
- VMWare GUI integration.
It is one VMware cluster divided into two locations. I have used it before so I know exactly what to expect.
- It is not easy to qualify it. But if users have to wait for there restore, it always costs!!
- The fact that every IT person in the department can use it makes it worth every penny.
When I started at this company they had old outdated backup software. In my former job, I used Veeam already so the choice was easy. Data security became a hot topic that year so Veeam was the logical choice.
