We have 7 physical windows servers, 2 physical Linux servers, and 5 virtual servers.
This is what we expected and sized our licenses accordingly.

- The cost of our annual backup software subscription went down about 33%.
- However, I spent maybe 40 man hours getting the software installed and working correctly.
We needed cost savings, and Veeam was much cheaper than that we were using for our previous backup solution, so we went this route. However, in my experience our previous backup solution was much more intuitive, easier to use, and less issue prone.
We are not using any cloud for any veeam purposes due to the connection speed and the amount of data we have.
We do all of our backups to a file share on a NAS. It works perfectly fine.
