Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform Foundation
We have been using Veeam in the company for many years. We needed a product that would allow us to backup our virtual and physical machines. So Veeam Backup and Replication was evaluated and chosen. It is a very good product, very good. We have integrated it with vmware vsphere. We have full visibility of all the machines and can quickly save them to Veeam Backup and Replication and restore them if needed. We needed a product that would allow us to restore virtual machines quickly, or just restore individual files. Veeam Backup and Replication answered our needs. We have it deployed on two separate sites in our city. Everything works perfectly!

We save about 500 virtual machines and about 20 physical machines. We save both Windows and Linux machines, with Oracle Linux, Centos and RedHat distributions. When we bought the product there were far fewer machines but over time they have increased and we have always used Veeam Backup and Replication to save them.
- Positive: Less time in managing backups.
- Positive: Faster recovery of individual files or entire machines when needed directly to vmware vsphere.
- Negative: We had to buy another product to save individual files for several years, as Veeam Backup and Replication did not give this option in version 11.
When you have few virtual or physical machines to save through a backup system initially, you use free or manual products. Over time, however, you realize that if you want to save time and increase the security of your backups you need to buy good products that do this job. Veeam Backup and Replication has been the best choice for us. In that it allowed us to manage backups of all our virtual and physical machines, allowing us to increase security and quick recovery.
In our case, we did not use Veeam Backup and Replication to store data in the cloud.
In our case, we did not use it to NAS/File-share backup solution.
