Vembu BDR is used to backup our file server nightly and to replicate it to another site for redundancy.

Our backup solution must be able to backup TBs of data in hours not days. It must provide data replication across the Cloud. It must facilitate easy data recovery. Vembu BDR software easily satisfied these needs and at a price that fit in our budget.
We have implemented Vembu BDR in a physical verses virtual environment.
We have used Vembu's VembuHIVE to quickly recover folders and files that had accidentally been deleted by users. We did not really benefit from the built-in compression as the majority of our files are already compressed.
If you are looking for an enterprise capable backup suite that quickly does the job without hassles then you will quickly look past the freebee software like Microsoft NT Backup or the overly complex of the like such as Acronis.
