Overall Satisfaction with Vimeo

Vimeo was originally being used by our marketing team to create product marketing material, and then our support team began using it to create training videos for our Knowledge Base. We decided that we wanted to add videos to each of our Help articles so our users had the option to either watch and listen to learn how to achieve a certain task in the product, or read the step by step instructions.
  • User friendly - I was able to learn Vimeo on my own without any formal training. It was very straight forward.
  • Ability to upload videos to obtain embed codes. This is how we include videos in our Knowledge Base articles.
  • Analytics - I am able to see how much traffic our videos are getting. This also helps us understand which areas of our product customers are needing more assistance with.
  • Sometimes the upload process takes a while. After the video is uploaded, it needs to buffer/finish processing. Often times I need to step away and do something else while I am waiting for the video to fully upload so I can grab the embed code.
  • Video Sharing (Embed Code)
  • Analytics
  • We were able to drive more traffic to our knowledge base by adding videos into articles. This promoted self-service for our customers and freed up time for our training and support teams.

Do you think Vimeo delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Yes

Did Vimeo live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Vimeo again?

Yes

If you are looking for a place to upload and store videos, generate embed codes, and/or capture screen recordings then Vimeo is a good fit. It is well suited for sharing videos with a targeted audience, for example, training videos. If you are looking to have a video marketplace where viewers can browse through videos, YouTube is probably a better fit.
