Overall Satisfaction with VMware Skyline
VMware is used to collect the data from customers and identify the known issues and resolve them. This is generally used by the technical support engineer department when supporting the product. It is proactive identify the issue and preventing problems. It is mainly used for maintaining the product.
- Easily setup in any environment and standalone
- Easily collect the data and sent VMware to analyzed
- Reduce the time resolution for service request
- Stability in any environment
- Collection of product usage data is limited
- Unable to see the workload on customers machine
- Production support customer not able to download the report(OSR)
- Registration of skyline collector should be improved
- Customer will get Weekly report easily.
- Reduce the time to resolve for service request.
- Identifying the problems and prevent its from problems.
- It is not for basic support customer
- Switching cost from local to cloud is higher
- Upgrading the HDD ,Unable open the application
- SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager (NCM)
It is lacking when after installation and requires more manual configuration. and more expensive according to VMware skyline.

When the data is collected from the product usage, then VMware skyline analyzes the data. It helps in reducing the time to resolve service requests and easily finding out the problem and prevents the problem. Installation and configuration are easy. Customers will get the weekly report.
