Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint

WatchGuard AuthPoint is being used across the whole organization. We currently don't use any cloud-based solutions that would require MFA. Currently the problems it addresses are ensuring account integrity with logging into company workstations/web-based email (on-prem Exchange) and RemoteApps that are hosted within the company to ensure no rogue logins from our company cell phones.
  • AuthPoint works well with how the MFA process works, setting it up for push, OTP, QR code is excellent for our needs.
  • AuthPoint provides any easy to use interface for deployment needs for new clients.
  • There have been some issues we've had with deployment, for instance, removing a PC from the domain then does not let you log in as a local user - this is more of an inconvenience considering this application should be removed prior to domain removal (lesson learned).
  • Have noticed some times the push requests are slow to come through and the timeout period needs to be adjusted to make sure you can log in - not huge impact.
  • We have seen neither negative nor positive returns on this.
We have not used other MFA solutions in our business.
The fact that this can be managed from the cloud is a huge plus to our business. Having few technicians here (5) and having even fewer that are familiar with WatchGuard products (2) helps expand our support needs as pretty much every one can manage this with ease. Having this access is extremely helpful when our techs are working out-of-office and can still provide MFA support from their phones.
This has been excellent for most of our clients. Leveraging work emails on their phones to activate the app itself has been the biggest struggle, but after that is setup, then the activation process is quick and easy. Even setting this up through web mail Exchange makes this easy considering the QR code it sends you.
We do not currently use this feature of AuthPoint. We have little need for this with our current customer base.
WatchGuard support has also been excellent in my experience. I have never had requests that have taken a long time to be answered or had to been sent to multiple techs to resolve the issue. Their KB articles can pretty much solve most of your questions should you need to reference them, but I know their tech support can get you a resolution if you need to leverage them as well.

Do you think WatchGuard AuthPoint delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with WatchGuard AuthPoint's feature set?

Yes

Did WatchGuard AuthPoint live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of WatchGuard AuthPoint go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy WatchGuard AuthPoint again?

Yes

WatchGuard AuthPoint is well suited for environments that need MFA but not necessarily physical tokens. [It's] The overall cheapest solution I can find on the market and a great product for any size company to provide an additional layer of security without a huge commitment in costs. With the ease of deployment, many companies could have this up and running with just reading the knowledge base articles and would not need a dedicated staff IT employee to get this added security setup for their organization.
