Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint

Secure access to RADIUS/VPN, Terminals via remote desktop.
  • User management.
  • Granular Policy management.
  • RDP connections.
  • Securing VPN access.
  • A little bit more detailed Training videos.
  • positive to have an option of complex MFA.
Microsoft has many limits on RADIUS, SAML, RDP, and other types of MFA authentication. MS MFA basically only works for Cloud MS services, not locally managed ones.
Cloud management and functionality is a key to admins and also users comfort. Push notification is a great way to fast, comfortable and secure MFA.
It is simple and if people know that this will save a lot of their time (no more SMS, or keygen OTPs) they are ok with it.
We haven't yet implemented SSO - I have no experience with it. Hopefully, I will implement it soon.

Where basic Microsoft MFA solution is not enough. Watchguard is a more universal and complete solution for securing any MFA access.

Watchguard has a free trial offer for a large number of users (about 250 ) for 1 month I think. It's nice to simply go and try it.

WatchGuard AuthPoint Implementation

the first time it takes more effort. It is helpful to already understand how each authentication type works. Then it's much easier to understand the MFA solution that you implement. It is useful to check the release notes from time to time and update the key parts of the Watchguard Authpoint. Authpoint Gateway, Logon App, RDWeb... Also, it's useful to set up notifications when something goes wrong or sometimes check the statistics of how many requests are being approved/denied, etc.

Im not sure what premium support is.
Support is knowledgeable and i usually get a quick help. Sometimes it takes longer to react to bug reports or if there is a more complex issue. Watchguard automatically escalates cases to engineering if needed.
Yes - It was resolved to my satisfaction and Watchguard was in touch during the enhancement.
I usually get a reply or callback from someone who knows the topic very well and has practical experience with it. I mostly do Watchguard UTM implementation and management to my clients. WG support people are very attentive to my request and very helpful.

it is very useful. Helps you secure all types of access.
Yes - Pretty quick, can store multiple authpoint tokens and also nonWatchguard OTP tokens.
App can be extra secured using figerprint, if your phone has a reader.
