All That Glitters Is Not Usable
Overall Satisfaction with Webex App
Webex is used across multiple departments in our organization. It is the default meeting environment for my team as we are all remote. We use it every day, multiple times a day. It has proven to be a solid, steady workhorse, one that lets us do what we need without having to learn an overly complex interface. For my team, it's mission-critical.
Pros
- Video conferencing.
- Screen sharing.
- Integration with existing software.
Cons
- Streamline UI to push most common activities to forefront.
- Allow users to claim an existing login when dialing in, rather than duplicating entries.
- Allowed our team to collaborate effectively over three time zones.
- Allows us to schedule or call impromptu meetings with a minimum of training.
- Integrates well with our existing applications.
- Zoom
Zoom has more flexibility and works well in the consumer space as well as intra-company or as part of a larger web presentation. Unfortunately, some of the bells and whistles either directly in Zoom or easily available to add in make it less likely to be consistent from meeting to meeting and require additional training/experience for some users.
