Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The business problem that we have in my company is the lack of face-to-face communication tools over the net for multiple people. Webex does a good job of fixing this. The Webex app allows us to be able to attend meetings through our phones and on the go so that we can easily communicate with each other to address problems. This is a faster process than just messaging each other through Slack.

Pros and Cons

Live chat with your team members.
Being able to use on the go with your phone as it's an app.
Can host a lot of people in one meeting.

Sometimes it can lag depends on your location.
No way to save your chat during meeting afterward.
Perhaps implement a chat feature to communicate with your team members without having to do a call.

Return on Investment

Integration with Google Drive and outlook is nice to have, help inform team members about their meeting.
Good way to do a live video conference to help boost communication.
No way to chat made us you slack to communicate through message.

Alternatives Considered

Zoom

One thing that sets Zoom apart from Webex is its ability to chat with other team members just like slack; this is a very powerful and useful feature to have in addition to the video call feature. Webex has better integration features than zoom, such as outlook integration and Google Drive. Also, Webex does a better job with its search functionalities as well, so overall, Webex is better, but Zoom feels more flexible.

Support Rating

I gave this rating because WebEx App does a good job at what it advertises, which is the ability to do a video conference/chat with multiple people across the world. However, its chat feature is lacking; therefore, it is not completely a go-to tool for everyone out there.

Usability

Webex is quite usable, and it is, in fact very easy to use as well. You don't need a lot of documentation to learn how to use the app as it's mostly self-explanatory. The user interface is easy on the eyes, and people can see buttons without issues. Overall, WebEx's front-end design is great and I don't have much issue with it.

Webex is suited for video calls with your team members. It can host up to a decent amount of people. You also have multiple features, such as sharing your screen, taking control of other people's screens, recording the meeting, and sending over files during meetings. It's less appropriate if you want to send a quick message to other people as a simple question. Sometimes you don't want to have to involve in calling people because you want things done quickly; Webex needs this.

Great way to do live meeting on the go.
