Overall Satisfaction with Webex App

The Webex App is used in our organization for internal company-wide meetings. Our C-Suite Executives usually utilize it for quarterly meetings with the entire staff. Occasionally, we utilize Webex App for internal project meetings.
  • Digital communication between users is top-notch and effortless. Never an issue with video lag.
  • No dropped calls. I never have to worry if communication will drop due to a user or network server error.
  • Strong brand name. I hear Webex, and as someone that has utilized Webex since college, I can trust it as an application to utilize for web-based meetings.
  • UI/UX Design. Like other great products from the 2000s, product design with the mind of making user access easier within each update is lagging behind. I've seen this before as a usual issue with other well-trusted brand names in other areas of tech. When comparing UX/UI design to competitors like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and even Skype, the UX/UI design isn't as naturally intuitive.
  • Important UX functions in today's internet, such as sharing sound and sharing videos, aren't easily accessible. Although in the 90s and 2000s, a few clicks to get to the functionality you need was fine, competitors have jumped past this and provided no more than 1 step for their users to get to the desired function. For example, sharing sound with a video is not intuitive or easy enough to find for a casual user not familiar with Webex App.
  • I noticed for some users, after sharing videos or presentations, the sound would cut off completely after sharing. Audience members or other conference members could not hear the rest of the Webex meetings, and we resorted to calling the toll-free number to finish the call. This was a reoccurring issue from 2019-2021. I'm not sure if this has been resolved, but it was noticeable for one vendor that utilized Webex App.

Webex App is primarily utilized in our company for Executive-Level meetings and occasionally internal meetings on a department level.

Overall, Webex App continues to be a solid and reliable product. Webex App needs to improve UX/UI functions to maintain competitiveness, but other than that, there are no other complaints from me as a current user.
Webex App is best suited for virtual conference meetings where a panel or select group of folks are speaking to a virtual audience.
