Overall Satisfaction with Webex (formerly Webex Teams)

Our whole company uses Webex (formerly Webex Teams) as our preferred messaging application. It is fantastic for keeping us connected when we are all working from different locations, as we can easily chat, call, and meet from desktops or mobiles. We can communicate with people from any organization using Webex (formerly Webex Teams) without having to switch between profiles, too.
  • Great integration with Webex Meetings and meeting room endpoints
  • Security is well designed from the start and ensures we can control our data
  • Love the flexibility to mix cloud and on-premises services for calling, meetings, and chat
  • The lack of a common messaging protocol with other vendors is creating silos in the market
  • Cisco has promised a single app for all Webex functions for a while, but it is still not quite there yet
  • It enables effective communication when working remotely
  • It provides a flexible migration path from our Cisco on-premises collaboration
I find that in this country Microsoft is doing well marketing MS Teams to their customers, hence I have also used that for meetings with some of my customers. I don't like the way you change between organizations with Microsoft; in Webex (formerly Webex Teams), all channels/topics appear in the same list so you are always connected to your organization. This is great for receiving calls and allowing your security team to control conversation topics.
I haven't required much from support, but I know that I can easily raise a support ticket and also search the online knowledge base and support forums. When I do have a question, I have been able to find the answers online before needing to raise a ticket, which is great.

It works well, and the possible API integrations into other systems have been flawless, too. The only negative is that Cisco is still finalizing the integration of the Webex Calling client into the main Webex software on all devices, so I do sometimes need multiple programs running.
I was introduced to Webex Teams before Microsoft Teams, and I still prefer the Webex experience. Being part of an IT services company, I find it useful to be able to easily communicate with multiple other organizations (both vendors and customers) at the same time, without having to change profiles for each organization.
