Overall Satisfaction with Webex Meetings

We use Cisco Webex to hold and attend online meetings, collaborate on team projects, and share documents. In addition, it is very useful as it allows us to record/capture meetings held and facilitate business discussions for distance/remote meetings saving time and travel costs. Since many of the company employees are working remotely during these times, Webex provides us with the required platform to host meetings easily since this is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution delivered through the Cisco Webex Cloud.
  • Collaborate on team projects.
  • Share documents.

One of the main organizational challenges we encountered during the planning and implementation of hybrid work was ensuring seamless integration and collaboration across remote and in-office teams.
Cisco's hybrid work solutions have significantly alleviated our organizational challenges by enhancing communication and collaboration.
The hybrid work model has brought increased flexibility and improved work-life balance for our team.
Webex Meetings integrates with a wide portfolio of devices. It can integrate with a large number of devices including IP phones, headsets, and many more endpoints. These devices are designed to work seamlessly with Webex Meetings and the advantage is that this type of integration provides ease of deployment and management at a large scale.

Cisco Hybrid Work

  • Working from anywhere (e.g., coffee shop, airport)
  • Working from an office or other company space
  • Working from home
Our implementation plan for the hybrid work solution is well underway, with several key milestones achieved. The process has involved a thorough assessment of our infrastructure, integration of collaborative tools like Cisco's solutions, and comprehensive training for employees.
We chose Cisco for our hybrid work environment due to their proven track record, comprehensive suite of tools, and a commitment to security and innovation. The seamless integration of Cisco products with our existing infrastructure played a crucial role in the decision-making process.

Cisco Webex Experience

We haven't use much of the AI capabilities but it seems very good in order to capture the details of meetings.
We generally use Microsoft Outlook to schedule our meetings and the then use webex for hosting our meetings online.
It integrates very nicely with our email system and it also has many different ways of accessing the meetings that has been scheduled for example you could use the webex link, or meeting URL and it also provides you with a dial-in number based on the country that you are located which is quite cost-effective as you are incurring minimum costs since you dialling a local number. This feature is very useful for those users who do not have internet access but need to be part of the meeting and is then able to dial in.

Using Webex Meetings

50 - Cisco webex is used by our sales technical and management teams.
2 - We basically have Cisco and Microsoft certified engineers to look after the webex users.
  • Colloboration
  • Voice over IP
  • Cost savings
  • Saved infrastructure costs as it is hosted in the cloud
  • Easy to learn and operate
  • Interact with customers
  • Present solutions to customers globally
  • Able to provide global support services
There are many other products that compete with webex and we are therefore considering some of them based on their strengths, weaknesses and ongoing costs.

Evaluating Webex Meetings and Competitors

  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Product Reputation
Features and pricing are quite important
I would research more into what is currently available in the market and using research sites such as TrustRadius to become more informed on what's out there and how they can meet our business objectives.

Webex Meetings Implementation

Plan the project carefully and mobilize the correct people after doing proper research into what features and functionalities are required from the system.
Yes - The phases consisted of the Planning and Discovery phase, the Build and Deployment phase, Migration and Realisation phase and the Support phase.
Change management was a major issue with the implementation - Having the correct people is key to a very successful implementation.
  • User training is key
  • Understanding the product features is also key.

Webex Meetings Training

  • Online training
  • in-person training
  • no training
It is very good to have an in-person training at times as well as they can show you in in person how to configure an operating system.
We mostly use training from Cisco's online training programs which is very informative and can be easily incorporated into our daily schedules without disrupting our normal working activities. There are many online training materials are available on cisco's website as well as other third-party training companies may also provide additional training.
Yes the product is simple enough to use. The gui interface is also easy to navigate.

Configuring Webex Meetings

I think it is just right for this product.
Refer to to Cisco's webex best practice design documents and you can also refer to Cisco webex forums to understand other user experiences and problems which have occurred and how they manage to resolve it.
No - we have not done any customization to the interface

Webex Meetings Support

Support has been good so far.
We normally use the Cisco forums as they are quite valuable since there are many users who share similar problems and ther experiences in resolving issues. Many times these are sufficient to guide us in the in the right direction.

Using Webex Meetings

Cisco webex met all our business requirements and there wasn't much extra features we needed apart from what they provided as standard.
  • Voice and video clarity
  • Elegant look and feel
  • Ease of use

Webex Meetings Reliability

I can't recall having any issues around availability. Cisco webex was always available when we needed to do a conference and is a very reliable and performing product with good clarity and excellent options to collaborate. Setup was easy and since the solution is hosted in the cloud, there was no requirement to provision any on-premise infrastructure saving valuable time and costs to get users connected.
Cisco Webex performs very well and we haven't had any issues regarding performance. Since the product is hosted in the Cloud, you need to make sure that you have a very reliable and fast internet connection with minimum latency to enjoy the best collaboration experience. Also, ensure that the end-user device meets the recommended hardware requirements in order to ensure that they have the best user experience when using the product.
Cisco webex has quite a large participant limit limitation in meetings which is in the range of 1000 participants in a meeting which I think is overly sufficient for many organisations. The product is very reliable with good call and video quality. Also it is very responsive with a simplified user interface and can be used by even the novice user.

Integrating Webex Meetings

We never experienced any integration issues.
  • Outlook
  • Microsoft Windows
Yes, they do.
  • File import/export
  • Single Signon
  • API (e.g. SOAP or REST)
  • Javascript widgets
  • ETL tools
  • MS Outlook
Not really.
Read forums for advice and experience that can assist you in planning and troubleshooting.

Relationship with Cisco

The vendor understood the products very well.
We perform our own support so no post-sale vendor support is required.
Make sure your vendor understand the product very well especially the licensing.
