Overall Satisfaction with Webex Meetings

Webex with integrated audio meetings were deployed in the organization as a cost saving and collaborative experience to existing meeting and audio conferencing bridge solutions. The problem at hand was to collaborate audio and video meetings into a single platform. Webex turned out to be a clear winner in comparison to its competitors in regards to the following - Ease of use, multi platform support and being able to join meetings seamlessly. The added audio conferencing feature and the ease of the dialout feature was a boon. This product was deployed across global company locations and the user feedback was far better than expected. Even though different geographies were using different systems, OS and were divided in terms of the use cases for the product, Webex was very well accepted even with user who have been with the earlier product for decades.

The business problem at hand was cost saving and this new solution and hand helped establishes roughly 25% cost savings when accessed over the next couple of months- way better than what we were expecting.

  • Ease of use on different platforms.
  • The meeting interface is clean with the focus control being able to be moved as needed.
  • The integration that meeting has with conventional dial in audio is great.
  • A transcript feature can be added
  • The meeting chat is with everyone/host. Would be great to see "breakout rooms" options
  • When opting to install the "application" to join a meeting, it takes more than the expected time to install it.
  • The cost reduction was very much visible compared to the earlier product(s).
  • The collaborative interface that comes with the product is user-friendly.
  • The multi-platform support comes handy in large organizations.

Webex meeting has been used in the organization for team meetings and company wide webinars as well (although that needs a different license). I found the platform to be less helpful with a small group of people (2-3) understanding the license use cost that are associated with it. But rest the product is apt for almost any set of meetings if the license cost is something we can keep at bay.

Using Webex Meetings

Evaluating Webex Meetings and Competitors

The interface support that was extended also coupled by the support experience that we had between the vendors is something that became a driving factor for the choosing of Webex over others. The audio collaboration partners for the local geographies also played an important role in the selection of this product.

Webex Meetings Reliability

The scalability is evident from the ease of upgrading the licenses. What I particularly liked with the product was the ease of using flexible licenses so we did not need to keep tabs on the users coming in and using the meetings. This was mostly measured by the system and we were billed accordingly. The scalability has been great since we often added new geographies in the product with ease.
Webex meetings has been available to myself and the company user as an when needed. While deploying this application, we opted for the flexible licensing feature which provided additional licenses on the go so even with an increase in users, it does not hamper the product availability/features. Never have we encountered major issues with the product.
The meeting performance has been great. There have been often times where something needs to be shared on the go and the ease of sharing it with the participants and the time required has been desirable. The reports also take fairly short time to generate. They are not fastest I have seen in the industry but definitely fast for the details available on them.
