Overall Satisfaction with Webex Meetings

In my organization, most of the employees are remote in separate time zones. Webex meetings helps bridge the physical distance. It is used for conducting virtual meetings and conferences. Webex meetings allow team members to interact with one another across cities and countries and virtually collaborate with one another and share ideas/updates. Its messaging feature is a great addition and allows team members share screen on the spot.
  • Allows conducting virtual meeting.
  • Allows attendees to join using devices (computer/phones) without any issues
  • Allows text messaging to team members
  • I find that from time to time (infrequently) the webex blanks out and requires re-connecting
  • The whiteboard can be made better for use with mouse
  • Webex Meetings have a positive impact on the ROI. Webex has made it possible for virtual teams to connect with one another. This has reduced the physical boundaries which exist between the team located in different cities and countries
  • Sharing of ideas, imparting knowledge with the team has become possible and easy. Thus increasing the teams morale and productivity
  • Mobile integration using IOS app has been quite effective in taking the meetings on the go. Thus increasing employee productivity
  • Team didnt see slow productivity during Covid as it was very easy to connect with one another
Our team was using Zoom but switched to Webex Meetings after zoom meetings were hacked. Webex has good in-built security where the user can control who all can join the meeting further it works quite well with the corporate single sign-on. Teams also has good security but my team prefers the interface of Webex better.

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Webex Meetings again?

Yes

Webex Meetings has mostly been reliable for conducting meetings however it has been noticed that from time to time webex blanks out if the internet is slow. It has also been noticed that from time to time there is difficulty in connecting to the meeting using computer audio There are instances where team members could not join using the toll-free number.
Webex Meetings has been scalable and can be deployed across multiple departments for conducting virtual meetings. One primary criterion of such deployments is security. Webex integrates quite well with the active directory sign-on and allows the users to authenticate with corporate credentials. Webex has been able to support easily an audience of approx. 200 people. I find that it has scaled quite well.
Webex's meetings has good performance. It allows screen sharing and application sharing as well. I have shared multiple applications like powerpoint presentations, word documents, code editors without any lags/delays. I believe webex integrates quite well with the Outlook and it has not effect on outlook. I have noticed that from time to time Webex starts consuming lots of cpu cycles/ consuming energy and needs to be restarted.
Webex is suitable for: Virtual meetings using video. It works well for both small, medium, and large audiences. Recording the meetings and saving the transcripts Conducting meetings using a variety of devices with or without video. Meeting reminders are a nice feature as well. It is not suitable for meetings that require the user to use the whiteboard feature. That feature is hard to use with a mouse.

Cisco Hybrid Work

  • Webex Meetings
  • Cisco AnyConnect
  • Working from anywhere (e.g., coffee shop, airport)
  • Working from an office or other company space
  • Working from home
The implementation has been completed and has been rolled out to the entire organization. The implementation process went smoothly. We were able to integrate Active directory authentication with Webex meeting without any issues. Along with the Webex meetings we also deployed the Cisco Communications Manager as well. The Webex meetings can support 2000 users concurrently.
Making the webex available to all the users using outlook Security of the meetings being organized. Single sign-on of the meetings using active directory authentication was of utmost importance. Ensuring the webex is available and working all the times. We ran into some issues with the active-active configuration but it is working nicely.

Cisco Webex Experience

Webex Meeting is the only official meeting hosting software used by our organization. The webex recording when enabled allow provides us with the real-time transcription. We are not using the note-taking features at this time. Webex has been a corporate collaboration tool. It has helped the team being more productive and collaborative thus increasing the team morale.
In our organization in addition to using Webex, we use: Cisco unified communications manager provides us with the IP Telephony and instant messaging. This provides the necessary communication security. Its interoperability with the Webex is a bonus. Users can IM and then switch to the Webex if required. This has allowed organization to use Cisco Collaboration tools as a common collaboration platform for the entire org.
