Overall Satisfaction with Webexpenses

It is used by the whole organization to track expenses and mileage claims, and bill correctly to the right clients. We have senior management as approvers and they review and approve our claim items each week. Webexpenses is an easy platform to use as you can take photos of receipts on the app on your phone while out or away from your laptop, and then use the drop-down options to auto-fill the project details.
  • Take photos of receipts on the app.
  • Can create claims on the app or on a computer.
  • Easy to select from drop down boxes.
  • Map function for mileage is not appropriate for multi-stop journeys.
  • When changing mileage manually, a red exclamation point appears, and looks like you've violated your company policy.
  • Quick to complete expense claims.
  • Quick to snap photos of receipts and save them in the library.
  • Easy for approvers to add options.
The process is pretty easy - create a claim, then add your claim items. There are drop-down boxes to populate things like project and expense type. You can use the app to upload your receipt photos which is handy if you are out and about, and then it is easy to link them to the correct claim item from the receipt store. I like that there is a partner app. Many people say things about Webexpenses such as it takes up too much time but I feel as though it is quite an easy system to use considering alternatives I have used at previous employment, which was less user-friendly and intuitive. A super quick and easy process makes accounting much easier for the people who have to deal with billing, invoices, and managing budgets. Converting to Webexpenses was fairly easy too, as our employees all embraced it and discarded the old system within a week.
Our company managers use Webexpenses to bill expenses to the correct job numbers and clients. It saves time compared to our previous system. As a user, it is a quick process to create an expense claim and attach a receipt for approval.
Ease of use by users and by management/approvers. Able to customize options and add in new projects/clients. Able to add in the company policy for all users to see when submitting a claim.
All systems are easy to use once you get the hang of them. Both these systems have an accompanying app [that] allows you to do expenses on the go, which is important for me.

Do you think Webexpenses delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Webexpenses's feature set?

Yes

Did Webexpenses live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Webexpenses go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Webexpenses again?

Yes

I do not like the 'map' function when claiming mileage. A lot of the time our journeys are not A to B, but more like A to M via every other letter in the alphabet. It isn't very practical or efficient to have to input every single postcode you visited in a week and when you manually change the mileage total, a warning point appears next to the item that makes it seem like you've done something bad.
