Overall Satisfaction with Webexpenses

It is used across the whole organization to allow employees to log expenses against the various different projects that GAP runs. There may be other uses that I am not aware of, but I only use them to log expenses.
  • Making a long list of categories for project expenses easy to navigate.
  • Simple to use interface when setting up claims.
  • Useful info boxes to show additional guidance where something may not be clear.
  • Adding receipts process is clunky and could be streamlined.
  • Adding receipts via app on my android phone doesn't seem to work at all.
  • Autosaving claims as you work through them would be nice.
The interface is functional and gets the job done, however, I feel it could do with streamlining in some areas, especially when it comes to how you attach receipts. However I still find it quite easy to use, and nothing has gone wrong with my claim submissions yet, except for the fact that when using the app I have found the receipts that said they were attached actually did not get added to the relevant claims. As a result, I have stopped using the app version for now and just do all my claims on my laptop.
I submit all my expenses incurred during work away from my home office, as well as all project expenses, through WebExpenses. It is useful to have everything saved in one place and to be alerted when claims are approved or if there is an issue with a claim! :) It is also very useful to be able to unsubmit and change details of a claim if need be, without having to rewrite the whole claim.

Overall this is a good platform for logging expenses with a minimum of fuss. It only took me a 1 hr training session to get my head around most of the features I will need to use regularly. I don't know about its usefulness outside of expense logging, and I would say that the processes could be streamlined somewhat to allow for easier use while on the go/from your phone. At the moment every time I have tried to upload receipts from my phone they have not attached to the relevant claims properly.
