Overall Satisfaction with WebSphere Service Registry and Repository

I have used WebSphere Service Registry (WSRR) for storing WSDLs and XSDs and to retrieve the endpoints for web services dynamically during service invocation to route the request accordingly. WSRR enabled us to change the endpoint without affecting consumers.
  • Storing the Meta Data about services and WSDLs
  • REST API support
  • Policy Enablement
  • Performance for importing WSDLs and XSDs into WSRR
  • Performance of REST APIs
  • Support for SWAGGER
  • It was not used to that extent to result in significant ROI
Support from IBM was the main reason
It is very well suitable for departments/applications which depend on the domain modeling. It is less suitable if you just want a place to store endpoints.
