Overall Satisfaction with WhatsUp Gold

WUG is used to monitor servers and network devices by our data center operations team.
  • Monitors update/down status of devices.
  • Sends alerts after a designated period of time.
  • It has no real feature set. It is just there to monitor device status up/down.
  • If WUG is in use, IT professional would need another tool in combination with this to be sufficient as it doesn't do enough.
WUG doesn't have near the feature sets of these two.
Not too much to support as it doesn't do that much.

WhatsUp Gold is not really a good tool in today's world as there are more products on the market that do this simple monitoring and a whole lot more.
