Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Whereby has enabled us to host virtual meets, discussions, and much more even in this time of pandemic. It is a hassle-free and easier to operate application. Whereby gives high quality audio and video callings with almost no limitations.
With this platform we were able to host virtual events, webinars, roundtables and more. We have a lot of clients who only have a cell phone so it's easy for them to join a Whereby meeting on the go.

Pros and Cons

Pros

It provides us a mobile-friendly, user-friendly option for office hours-style meetings.
It makes communicating with a team easy when working remotely and allows you to jump into the room and talk with someone about a project.
Whereby has a super pleasant UX and overall interface.

Cons

I didn't like that I didn't have the ability to automatically record, it was a manual process.
I couldn't capture or register the attendees of my events.
In the free version, it's very lightweight and lacks features and hence not viable for larger meetings.

Return on Investment

My team's favorite feature was the addition of sharing YouTube Videos directly in the page so we could watch and listen together.
Easy to use, no login issues and is user friendly application.
I like the rooms and sharing links. It's great to be able to make up my own room and share. Finding links is easy and make sense.

Alternatives Considered

Zoom

Whereby has no login issues like zoom has, I love how clean and easy it to use. The app is so easy to operate and navigate, and the tools are excellent unlike Zoom where I found to have challenge to find tools and have a lot of trouble using it. I also liked the user interface of Whereby better than of Zoom.

Likelihood to Recommend

Whereby is well suited for virtual events, roundtables, and much more. It really helped us work while working at home. It can collaborate with Google sheets and spreadsheets. So yes, it is a very complete and easy to use video conferencing tool.

Scenarios where it is less appropriate are sometimes during meetings recording doesn't work fine. It can lag sometimes and also you cannot screen share when using through the phone.
