Overall Satisfaction with Wistia

We use Wistia across the whole organization, for all of our video content. We do use YouTube, but only for video with social/search value. Most of our video content lives within the Wistia platform, even our internal only videos. We switched from Vimeo so we could get better analytics and also use it as a demand gen tool.
  • Email turnstile: capturing email is huge.
  • Analytics and data are fantastic.
  • Very easy to customize the styling so it looks embedded.
  • Would love it to allow the capture of more data on the turnstile.
  • More platform integrations: struggled to get the data to Salesforce, had nothing for Pardot or Act-On.
  • More flexibility and capabilities in video links.
  • Increased the number of leads captured from our website.
  • Allowed us to more easily upload, share videos, and get analytics back.
  • A/B test videos, plus see what's performing and what's not: drove strategic direction with video content.
Vimeo Pro works well for artistic folks, those on a budget, or those not looking to leverage video for demand gen or lead capture. It served us well for a while, but just wasn't cutting it. Wistia has more on the integrations end than Vimeo, and we have benefitted the most from that aspect. Vidyard has a great platform, and for on-the-fly or demo videos, it might be superior. For produced videos, I like Wistia better. Both have their strengths, and I would consider them both the leaders in the space.
Couldn't be happier with the overall performance of the platform. Videos load fast, rarely have loading issues, look sclean and the styling and sizing doesn't have issues. The data comes in quickly and in real time. Also, on the administrative side, the videos seem to upload well without much issue. There's always issues uploading video, but we had way less upload issues with Wistia than with Vimeo.
Great, simple, usable product. Would have given it higher marks, but sometimes the folders and permissions aren't the most intuitive. Interface for uploading, tagging, describing videos is simple. Sharing is also relatively intuitive. Overall, a clean and simple interface and most of our marketing team had no issues using it. I think it was easier than using Vimeo.
The lower rating is because of Salesforce. We'd have loved to use the integration with Marketo, and I honestly think that's the way to go. We tried to integrate with Salesforce directly and had a difficult time - had to build our own solution. Money well spent if you already use Marketo, otherwise check to make sure they have supported integrations. I do like that they're on such integration sites like Zapier.
Wistia works well for marketing teams, especially demand generation teams, who are looking to measure, improve and grow their audience. I think it's almost a must for B2B companies, especially if they're using Vimeo or YouTube. I also really like the clean styling, comparable to Vimeo, maybe slightly better. I think the analytics are unparalleled with other platforms.
