Overall Satisfaction with Workplace by Facebook
Workplace was being used across the whole organization. We mainly used to communicate with different teams across different departments. It was used also for making announcements. It helped us lead our teams remotely throughout the difficult times of the pandemic to deliver our products to the customers, and the familiar user interface helped us get used to it fast.
- Very Friendly and Familiar User Interface
- Great Chat Capabilities
- Announcements/News sharing is Easy
- There was No Video Meetings Feature
- It doesn't integrate with Third Party Apps like your Outlook Calendar, Email, etc.
- There was No Screen Sharing capability
- File Sharing
- Groups Feature
- Great Mobile Application which helps to use it on the go
- Less Email Communication
- Better collaboration between different teams working remotely
Unfortunately, Microsoft Teams wins by far in comparison with Workplace. MS Teams has many features that does not exist in Workplace like Screen Sharing, Integration with many Third Party Apps, Meetings, Webinars and the list goes on. I think Workplace would be only a good option if you are a small organization and you do not need all these kind of advanced features.
