Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent
Xactly Incent allows us to calculate commissions in a timely and accurate fashion. The question that comes my way are all related to when commission payments will be "released" for payment, not whether there is an error in the calculations. Great product.
There are issues with the historical payouts. I have noticed that is a Sales Rep changed positions in Mid year (from SalesA to SalesB), the payment information follows the current position (SalesB). SalesA data is loss unless, you add SalesA to hierarchy.

- Some changes in Xactly are inflexible. User ID and Emp ID # are two examples.
- Customer support tends to reply by email only. Sometimes 5 min phone call can alleviate the problem.
- Down loading QTD or YTD data should be an option.
- ROI is measured by how accurate the commission expenses are versus manual corrections.
- Senior management is confident in the product and the results.
- Future investment in the product is certainly on the horizon.
We use historical sales data and compensation payouts in our forecast for the current year. Understanding trends is very useful to plan both sales goals and staffing needs.
We use Xactly Incent for both Quota setting and sales forecasting. Quota settings are critical to achieving sales objectives. We want to ensure our sales teams can reach these Sales goals and maximize their earning potential. If a sales team is fully engaged with the company's sales forecast, the likely hood of achieving the results desired is very high. We also include the sales team in many of the Sales Planning and Forecast discussions. This creates a partnership between sales rep and managers. A definite win win.
Currently we have not integrated any software platforms with Xactly Incent. There is some discussion of integrating HR platform, Workday, in 2024.

I had to calculate Quarterly quotas. I was reminded by Xactly support to check the commission Plan for the position and change frequency from Yearly to Quarterly. I was then able to validate the commission calculations.
