Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent

Xactly Incent is currently being used for the compensation management of all sales colleagues that are part of the incentive plan. We use Xactly Incent for assigning KPI's and targets to employees, sending out target letters, monitoring performance during the incentive period and calculating final commissions. Xactly Incent automates lots of manual work for sales colleagues, sales operations and human resources and also gives better insights in day to day performance.

We are using self-created dashboarding via seperate toolings to ensure that Xactly Incent shows the right numbers as well as to ensure that audit and finance teams can approve the compensation results as they are shown. Also, we use the results to optimize within the organization, we do not benchmark with external parties.
At this point, sales planning, territory/quota, and sales forecasting are all functions of Xactly Incent not being used (yet). We have just fully implemented the basic functionalities of sales compensation management, meaning the features to assign targets, send out target letters, measure performance and calculate the final commissions. Other functions will follow later.
The benefit of having these systems together is firstly that the data is continuously being synced from our CRM system to Xactly Incent, meaning that deal values will directly reflect in results of sales colleagues. The second benefit is that colleagues can log into Xactly Incent from their Salesforce environment which makes usage easier.

Xactly Incent is very well suited when the compensation plan at your company is relatively simple and will remain similar for a longer period of time. When you have a very complex incentive plan or if you require flexibility or changes to be made every now and then, Xactly Incent can be relatively tough to work with.
