Overall Satisfaction with Xero
Xero has been used at our company for a number of years and is still currently being used. It is managed and controlled by the Finance department for a number of different purposes such as account reconciliation, invoice management, financial reporting and payroll. Users of the organization do not have access to Xero other than the Finance team and a few select individuals.

For the purpose of which we use Xero, I have not used any alternative systems. However, for certain aspects of it such as expense management, we decided to go with Webexpenses to replace the expense management features of Xero. This was because Xero lacked the automation, control and visibility we needed to correctly manage our company's expenses.
Xero's deployment has helped our organization massively in terms of improving access to accounting processes. The features that Xero holds means that anyone coming into our finance department has easy access to understanding and utilizing the accounting process. Since we are a small finance team of just 5, it hasn't necessarily saved on overhead costs since we still need the manpower to manage the entire company's financials through there.
