Overall Satisfaction with Zerto

My organization is currently using Zerto for our offsite DR location. We previously used CloudEndure which was purchased by AWS and lost its support expertise. Zerto is used for replicating critical servers to our cloud location for quick recovery.
  • Support is quick to respond.
  • Providing metrics for RTO.
  • Quick Recovery times.
  • The license model is one time price with annual support.
  • Zerto did not have quick recovery times to AWS so I needed to move our DR location from AWS to Azure.
  • Zerto has allowed us to have a low RTO without a huge price tag.
  • Moving from Cloudendure to Zerto has actually lowered our year-to-year cost due to the initial investment in the Zerto licenses.
Zerto support is quick to respond and escalate the case when needed. When I have needed or requested I've escalated issues to subject matter experts quickly.

Zerto's usability is extremely easy. The hard part of it is getting the naming conventions down. using similar replication software made the transition easier.
For my organization, the pricing model was an upfront investment for the Zerto licenses. My organization prefers to pay upfront and not deal with month-to-month or year-to-year pricing models that most companies are moving to. But for some, the investment may be more than they can afford, and would prefer the year-to-year pricing model.
Zerto is great for recovering VM's from onsite to cloud resources. While pointing Zerto to the cloud we can leverage the scalability of the cloud to increase the speed of the recovery by adding additional resources. Zerto also includes training and labs as part of their offering which allows owners to test configs without breaking a production environment.
