Overall Satisfaction with Zip Intake-to-Procure

We use Zip for all of our purchase requests. We manage all approvals (Business Leader/Budget Owner, Finance, Legal, Security, Procurement) in the tool and also leverage it for document collection. Zip alleviated visibility issues for requestors around status of their requests and enabled us to reduce cycle times for end-to-end approvals of requests & contracts.
  • Ease of setup and use
  • Highly configurable
  • Flexible to use for different request use cases
  • High level of support and a development team that listens to customers
  • More robust reporting - ability to configure reports
  • Can improve ability to interact externally with vendors
  • User experience/ease of entering a request
  • Ability to easily create and modify workflows
  • Comments and visibility into status of requests
  • Improved input of requests by 60% overall - increase process compliance
  • Enabled ability to track throughput times and create SLAs
  • Allowed Procurement team to more closely manage multiple requests and focus on higher-impact requests
Zip is by far the easiest to implement and configure, dramatically reducing the speed to value. Setup and creation of workflows to align with approval processes can be done within weeks and there is no limit to the number of approval flows that can be created. There are value add features such as contract management "lite" (renewal notifications, ability to not contracts/documents as final, etc.). Finally, the cost is multiples lower than more ERP-type suites and platforms.

Yes

Would you buy Zip Intake-to-Procure again?

Yes

Zip was created for the intake process and it shows. It's easy to set up and use as an admin and intuitive for submitters of requests. It has a highly configurable workflow engine that is also easy to update and change, even at a request level. It offers clear visibility into status of requests and the company continues to make improvements, both small and large. One area that I would like to see more of is the ability to create walled off sections for different use cases, like security reviews.
