Overall Satisfaction with Zix Email Encryption (ZixEncrypt)

We are using Zix across our entire organization. The heavy users for the product are our Police, Fire, and HR Departments. With having to send sensitive data to other organizations this was the solution for us. We chose Zix because we were looking for an email encryption solution that did not break the budget but that still covered the minimum Security requirements.
  • Easy to implement.
  • Easy to use for both end user and recipient.
  • User support is great.
  • When you get into the automatic encryption it could be a little challenging.
  • This covered the mandatory increase of encrypted email requirements.
  • Gave us the peace of mind that outbound email was secure.
The two biggest factors of this project were both ease of use and cost. Looking at all three of these products, we know that they all have the needed solution for our environment. We made our decision based on the need. Zix offered exactly what we needed and the other products had way more above and beyond what we needed.
This would be appropriate in any organization. Zix gives you the ability to configure as little as you want or as much as you want. Starting out we were using only the manual encryption using the outlook plug-in. This was fast and easy to setup and get the users going. This is still how most of our users still use it.

Zix Email Encryption (ZixEncrypt) Support

We had an instance in which I needed to have a certain filter changed due to not doing what I needed it to do. I called support and they were able to work with me to accomplish exactly what I needed. Their support is reliable and quick for our site.

Using Zix Email Encryption (ZixEncrypt)

We are using the cloud based solution and as soon as the backend configurations were set all that we needed to do was to locally install the Zix Encrypt Outlook plugin. From there it only took us less than an hour to show all our users how to use it and how to relay to the sender what to expect when they receive the email.
