Overall Satisfaction with Zoho Connect

Zoho Connect is used enterprise wide at my client's location. It's mainly used by central IT for Communication, and internal Collaboration.
They did try to use it for a central documentation hub, but ultimately went with SharePoint for that.
IT moved other teams away from Slack and Yammer to Zoho, and seemed to like the results.

  • The free plan of 25 users is a nice way to try the software out before you buy
  • There's a ton of tools in the toolset. It really can do quite a lot.
  • Really good integration with other Zoho Suites, like CRM
  • The UI and all of the tools can be really overwhelming
  • The mobile app is a bit behind in functionality
  • It's easy to have too many chats open at the same time and no easy dismissal
  • If you already have other Zoho suites in place, the choice is easy. You'll see results rather quickly.
  • Be prepared to spend time learning the tool. The documentation is a little behind, and not detailed at times.
  • Good cross platform tool.
  • The free trial of 25 users is not bad.
The forums tool seems to be easily overlooked by people. It's actually pretty good; I've seen groups migrate away from internal wikis to Zoho's forum.

If you are already using other Zoho products, it's really easy to implement.
The UI can be a bit daunting at first, so prepare to have a sharp learning curve, at least in the beginning.
You'll need at least one internal user who is intermediate level comfortable with the suite.

If you have lots of cross platform OS to deal with, Zoho Connect does help present a unified front end to all users.
