Overall Satisfaction with Zoom
We are using Zoom to provide distance education learning and in department meetings. We also use it to do webinars with participants from multiple off-site locations. It allows us to bring the educational context and content to our non-traditional students. Since we are a visual-based university (using sign language as the primary communication method), using Zoom allows us to view all signing participants at the same time.
- Multiple video sources.
- The ability to start a meeting from the meeting invite.
- Recording the meeting or course sessions.
- Time to set up the video boxes to our preferences sometimes take longer than desired. Does not remember my last session's settings or preferred settings.
- Switching between shared desktop and users' videos - to pin it or not to. If one is pinned, we can't see others.
- Inability to freely expand the video boxes - it has only three settings - full screen, medium, or small size - I can't freely stretch the video size to our preference.
- Allows for instant web conferencing with a link. It makes it easier for participants to join sessions remotely with a link that will download the app.
- Increased the number of students wishing to take distance learning courses.
- Looking into bringing in the Zoom Phones functionality.
