Overall Satisfaction with Zuora

We use Zuora for all billing-related tasks. It is also where we track how long a subscription is, how many users, and customs pricing if needed. It is very useful to be able to bill in multiple currencies, as we are a global company. The entire Sales team uses Zuora for all quote-to-cash processes.
  • Billing in multiple currencies.
  • One stop source of truth for subscriptions.
  • Easy to refund if necessary.
  • Would like to see a credit card capture link on each account.
  • Very slow load times.
  • user interface not friendly.
Zuora has been useful in locking certain price points for different customers. However, when an account has more than one type of product, this does not translate well over to Zuora. The users get charged for a certain amount and it may not be the type of license they wanted. Then we as the Sales team have to get involved to either refund or explain the situation to them.
  • Launch a new product or service
I want our customers to be able to add different products to their accounts. As of now, Zuora is not implemented enough for the users to do this themselves. They have to reach out every time they need something. I want them to be self-sufficient in getting whatever it is they need. This also makes them stop the process and do away with adding products to their account which ultimately leads to less revenue for the company.
For matters such as invoicing the customers, Zuora works very well. It automatically sends out invoices to the person of contact for any organization. you can also set a credit card to be charged in the future which is very handy if the customers need quarterly payments. However, the auto-renew function has not been working well as it does not charge the credit card on file. All it does is invoice them.
Zuora is very well suited for handling thousands of subscriptions. Some of the rules we have in place could be improved upon such as canceling a customer if they do not pay within 90 days. This completely shuts them off when, in some cases, the lack of payment may not be their fault. The fact that Zuora still charges a credit card even though a subscription has been canceled in the past is a major problem.
