Likelihood to Recommend Being a Nonprofit organization that produces a lot of publications on various projects, NPS allows us to create, edit and convert documents to suit the needs of our International Donor Partners and other stakeholders. In my own experience using this software, it is used less in our finance department since most of our documents originate from our accounting system and hence there is limited need for PDF management internally.
Read full review It is very well suited for proposal/quotation/contract writing, including adding lots of marketing-type content and sales copy. It also works well for employment contracts. However, it struggles with having more than one user looking at the same document, which hinders collaboration. If you want something very flashy, it may not be the best fit, as the layouts are more simple.
Read full review Pros Ability to combine files SEAMLESSLY and order them around as necessary (so underrated) Signing not only for yourself but for others. Helpful for those who have been granted the authority to sign for VPs and directors Much easier to use than some other PDF viewing services Read full review Templatization of different documents Reminder system to remind clients to view and sign documents Easily save different pages as templates to add or remove them from future documents Easily collect signatures from clients and view the progress of all documents in one dashboard. Read full review Cons The font choices could be better and more robust. Sometimes converting PDF documents to MS Word has formatting problems, like with some tables. Converting MS Word to PDF can be slow sometimes, meaning it is faster to save the MS Word document as a PDF than selecting the file for conversion using the Nitro PDF convert option. Read full review I would like to see the ability to LOCK a field instead of locking an entire block or document. I would like to see more standard features that need to be part of the service instead of add-ons. Would like to see an option to allow different levels of users than just the two standard options. Read full review Likelihood to Renew The reason I gave it a rating of 7 is because it's probable, but not for sure. This is because there are a few little things we don't love about pandadoc. Mostly that there is not conditional logic such as: they must either fill this field out OR this one. Also it's a little pricey. But we'll probably stay because it's good enough and a pain to switch to something new
Read full review Usability It's quick and easy to use for all users.
Read full review Once you get the hang of it, it's very easy to use. There can be a slightly steep learning curve to get fully in on the system. The new editor v2 has really improved usability and allows us to collaborate on documents simultaneously. Once the templates and library items are set up, a new document, whether it be a sales or HR document, takes very little time to complete.
Read full review Reliability and Availability We haven't had any real issues regarding downtime as of yet.
Read full review Performance It works as advertised.
Read full review The documents load quickly for the most part but sometimes if there are larger documents with a high number of variables it could take a bit longer to get the document to show up. Most of the time the document comes on the screen relatively quickly allowing for quick access to documents to be edited and sent out.
Read full review Support Rating Nitro checks all the boxes for what we need. It is fairly priced, it allows us to read and edit PDF documents, convert PDF to MS Word and convert MS Word to PDF. It allows us to combine multiple files and do all the post processing like adding page numbers and adding headers and footers
Read full review Recently I could not upload a pdf to a contract - support was very responsive and easy to work with. They got back to me the next day with an apparent fix - however when I opened the document nothing had changed. I then could not respond to the rep who was helping me because it was a "no-reply address", the problem still has not been solved and we had to make alternate arrangements to get this to the client. Never had it happen before and was only with this one contract.

Read full review Alternatives Considered Every 1-2 years will do a check on current PDF options to include trialing the software. Have tried Foxit and several that seem to have failed in the marketplace. Over the last 4 years, I have always stuck with Nitro. Unfortunately, we still need to keep Adobe Acrobat (free version) installed to view a small percentage of some PDFs we receive.

Read full review Return on Investment ROI was very quick as the license costs were so low. We purchased 8 licenses versus the initial 2 we were planning on for Adobe. More people were able to use the product than we initially thought due to low purchase costs. We haven't had any further costs to own the product after the initial purchase. We would need to purchase new licenses if we wanted to upgrade. Read full review Saves a ton of time of handwriting proposals. It's valuable to see when a prospect or an existing client views their proposal. If you have a good designer to create the templates, the proposals will look professional. The existing templates Pandadoc provides are nearly worthless and very difficult to customize. Read full review ScreenShots
