Miro has been widely employed for various purposes, including brainstorming and facilitating team discussions. Its use extends to enhancing presentations with visual cues instead of traditional slides. The platform aids in efficient sprint planning and project management while aligning teams effectively. Users have harnessed its GenAI features for creating diagrams, compiling meeting notes, and conducting design tasks such as mapping user flows and journeys. Miro also serves as a crucial tool for customer research activities, from initial planning and note-taking to the final synthesis. Moreover, it caters to virtual collaboration needs by supporting design reviews, workshops with external customers, and fostering knowledge sharing within design teams.

Template Variety: Users have expressed appreciation for Miro's diverse range of template layouts tailored to different project needs, enhancing creativity and organization. The platform's extensive template options cater to various preferences and requirements, offering a wide selection to suit diverse project scopes and styles.

Real-time Collaboration: Reviewers have highlighted the platform's real-time engagement and updates as beneficial for fostering teamwork across different time zones, facilitating efficient collaboration and communication among team members. This feature ensures that all stakeholders stay updated with the latest developments promptly.

Effective Tools: Many users find the AI delete background tools effective for sketch uploads, significantly improving the overall user experience by simplifying tasks like image editing. The tool streamlines workflows and enhances productivity when working on visual content within the platform.

Performance Issues: Reviewers have frequently reported significant performance problems with large boards taking a long time to load, negatively impacting the user experience. This issue hampers productivity and frustrates users trying to work efficiently.

Limited Drawing Capabilities: Users find the drawing capabilities, especially for shapes, to be restrictive and have requested more variety in shapes and the ability to save brand colors. The current limitations hinder creativity and design flexibility on the platform.

Difficulty in Board Organization: Some users express confusion when organizing boards by department, struggling with determining the correct placement for new boards. This lack of clarity disrupts workflow efficiency and makes it challenging to maintain an organized workspace.

Miro is very intuitive and user-friendly, which made the transition smooth for the first time. I never felt like I had to spend much time learning how to use the platform and could focus on the process maps I was there to build. There are also so many great templates if you need a little inspiration.

In JTBD terms, Miro is tackling a very upper-level job. It lets you do everything you could do with a notepad, a whiteboard, and even more conveniently than with physical prototypes.
- Need to outline a migration plan for the new service
- You need to describe the scheme of the service operation
- You need to brainstorm the team

Seeking to visualize an idea, or collaborate on building on an idea. I want to expand on an idea I had with some colleagues while at an onsite, but we are now remote and do not wish to lose momentum. I want to recall some work done with some colleagues that are no longer at the company, but we started a board that I want to pick up with a different group to gain context and take the idea to the next step.

For brainstorming and idea collaboration, nothing beats Miro. It is quick to launch, easy to use, and highly accessible. I use it for working with on-site as well as remote colleagues.
It is useful for training and communication as well. I use it for staff meetings to disseminate information and can take notes right in the tool.

Miro is really great for folks who work in a creative space and for design leads who juggle both design work and admin work, Miro offers a great solution! it's also really easy to use, which is a huge plus.

Miro is very well suited to use during workshops where some colleagues are working from home and some are present in the office. There are no obsticles in case someone cannot make it to the in person meeting. It is also really good in terms of storing data from previous projects, with miro everything is well organized and can be looked through very easily.

Miro is super appropriate to customer journey map, show points of friction or smooth sailing, create a roadmap for actions and owners and overlap or parallel pathing of projects - to show what risks or "jams" may occur when various leaders come together with their inputs and timelines and team gets to see things in one, universal place.

Miro is less appropriate I suppose for use as an actual project management tool, like ticketing or kanban or a way to execute the work. It's really for vision, collaboration, planning, designing.

Miro as Scrum tool

Miro is a great tool supporting our scrum meetings, with Miro we are able to create columns based on our necessities. Also, we can use creating our daily tasks, and adding customized labels, example separating by person, department. One scenario that Miro could be better is saving a freeze version, because when someone delete a tasks, we lose the track.

It’s well suited for UX wire-framing, process flow designs and architecture's designs. It also worked well to document org structures, product charters and agile best practices. It was difficult to demo and show the work in meetings especially if it was large and required scrolling. It was also difficult sharing with in Microsoft Teams or with non-Miro users, especially those we work with at agencies and other third parties.

It is well suited for product planning, collaboration with stakeholders, and detailed scenarios. However, I don't recommend it for sharing content with executives. You can get lost in there, and it's not the point to keep it so tidy that it's perfectly organized and clear to people who are not as familiar with the content/team.

It's a great tool but does have its challenges. The biggest challenge for users is moving the entire content when they don't know how to lock down the board's features. Users also don't understand how to add captions or words to the board. Frames are also not well defined.

Miro is intuitive for the first-time user. Without any instruction, I was able to immediately use Miro meaningfully. Miro is much easier than other whiteboarding products I've used. I use Miro as a canvas for brainstorming. I collect client and market data and synthesize it for sharing with my development team. The ad hoc method of capturing the data allows me to quickly capture 'snippets' of data that I can correlate later.

Well suited: for the early phase of design and creativity where the product is in a concept development stage. Very suited for team and quick collaboration. Many people can be part of a board at once, and it is easy to see quick edits made by others. Less appropriate: for detailed designs such as adding color schemes, making a visually appealing slide show, and doing the surveys.

Miro offers a collaborative studio with a comprehensive set of use cases. I typically use Miro to generate UML diagrams and UX storyboards and to take/collate notes with my team. The product's real-time element makes collaborating particularly easy. Although it doesn't when two or more people want to edit the same element, it handles large groups (50+) of users surprisingly well.

Miro is very useful for small—to large-scale collaboration due to its team-focused feature set. However, there is more useful software for personal projects. I would definitely recommend Miro in a collaborative/team-based environment, where recording sessions, chat, live cursors, etc., are more useful.

As mentioned before, Miro is an extremely powerful tool, especially in education! The software’s user-friendly nature allows users to learn at an efficient and fast pace. Moreover, Miro fosters collaboration, which is incredibly useful anywhere, both in the academic and workforce. It is the perfect tool for school!

For gathering information at the beginning of a project, Miro is great, but as the project grows, it becomes increasingly difficult to navigate the board and manage it efficiently due to the sheer volume of information, which can make it and become overwhelming.
