I have personally found SAP Concur to be such an easy platform to use. We have recently rolled this out to another agency under our affiliation, and the process went smooth due to the training opportunities provided. I have yet to have an issue that required escalation to get resolved, again attributing this to a great platform that is easy to use and customize. Can't say enough good things about how SAP Concur has helped us manage the travel/expense process at our agencies!

It was easy to organize each trip I took by expense report. I was able to calculate per diem very easily based on where I was staying for the night. You could make an expense report for a trip and be in many different cities and states during that trip.

Well suited: Corporation with a heavy volume of employee-related expenses, budgeting rules, authorization levels, audit requirements, and use of corporate credit cards. A backend ERP from SAP (e.g., ECC, S/4, etc) would be a plus as it's well integrated with Concur, meaning less integration effort vs other software packages. Less appropriate: A smaller organization with only a small volume of employee expenses and simple needs.

If you are a road warrior and like to travel regularly, this is the best app for you. If you run a company and you guys need to network with influential and powerful people and all where you guys go together, it is a must. It is not needed for people who do not travel regularly.

SAP Concur is well suited for the corportate travel program. The company can pick the 3rd party TMC to be embedded in the system for the corporate business travel bookings. Embedded TMC system allows the employee to book the hotel, car rental, air ticket and more. Some TMC can provide reshop service to ensure the rates are competitive in the market.

If the colleague has time to invest in implementation and configuration to make the system work to their benefit, it has a lot to offer.
There are so many combinations of how to set things up, that it is very difficult to recommend it for any specific purpose without knowing the needs of the customer.

Large companies where expense reporting and its reconciliation is disparate and the approval and exception process are not standardized. As such, it can easily be misused or abused. SAP Concur standardized all of that. It is especially useful if it can integrate with an ERP (we have SAP) for accounting and financial reporting.

This is the one product in our SAP suite that touches all 20K employees. It is perfectly suited for us due to the vast difference in all of the job functions, but able to cater to all expenses generated at any job function. There is not a case where Concur is less appropriate. Even executive assistants are able to easily submit expense reports on behalf of executives.
