We are team of 10 to 15 people and Slack allows us to very easily and seamlessly communicate with each other directly or through specific channels. We also have several services that are integrated into Slack for example type form HubSpot and Intercom that notify us of events that require our attention or action.

I would recommend Slack to my friends, as it offers very helpful features and is a great option for communicating and receive quick responses from teammates, also to have a work related communication solely in one platform and not mess up other communications through the apps that we daily use with friends.

Slack can be a good tool when the organisation is quite project-focused, and you have a number of projects in progress. We have experienced Slack being beneficial in team management, work allocation, huddles, communication, sharing data/files, etc., and even to manage meetings. Seriously, integration with Zoom is a big time saver.

A big missing feature is that you do not have an option to follow up on a task or message that you might have starred/flagged. It would be really helpful if we had the To-Do list and follow-up option.

Slack is a great tool for collaboration with small teams and collaborating across teams. However without discipline the overcommunication can quickly become a burden, especially for twitchy employees that jump at every notification. Additionally as companies get larger, you find that everyone feels like they can chime in with irrelevant feedback. Slack could help growing companies create a culture where there's listeners and contributors with additional controls or user labels per-channel.

Slack has been great for me to use in my everyday job communicating with both internal and external contacts. It is easy to start a new conversation with someone and also easy to find an existing conversation to continue. You can also add emoji and gif to the conversation to lighten the mood.

Best suited for large teams where multiple work streams are to be discussed with different stakeholders. The app becomes 10x more useful once you integrate it with the rest of your production systems like Asana, Google Docs, Jira etc.

For smaller team sizes say less than 100, the level of complexity offered may not add enough value. Also, for folks who do not use extensions and plug-ins, there are several low-cost solutions.

Communication with people
Organization level isolation
Quick huddle option when needed
Good message editor which helps to add emojis, gif, threads, pics, videos
Sharing the message is much easier
Groups are easier to maintain
Pinned messages are much easy to help to find the important message
Later messages are nice and can be used to save some important messages to be replied later

Slack, in almost all cases, is the tool of choice for communication, especially for a company where work happens asynchronously. It loads quickly, has no downtime, is easy to use right away, etc. In my opinion, the only reason that Slack doesn't have more market share than it currently does is that Teams is almost free for companies in the Microsoft ecosystem, which is huge number of companies.

Slack excels in facilitating team collaboration, offering seamless file sharing and bridging communication across diverse platforms. However, it might not be the ideal choice for sensitive data sharing or handling excessively large files. In such cases, opting for more secure or specialized platforms could be a better idea to ensure confidentiality and efficiency.

Slack is well suited for instant communication with internal and external stakeholders. I also use it to share files, resources, and links without the need to clutter up the email inbox Where Slack isn't well suited is collaborating on documents within the app. It would be nice to share a Google Doc, open it up, collaborate natively within Slack, and have the changes saved to the Google Doc

I would definitely recommend Slack to everyone who needs a messaging platform for work. The thing that I most appreciate on Slack is the possibility of talking to my coworkers without using my personal number or personal apps. This way, I can separate what is work and what is not. Slack even has the option to mute notifications after work hours. I'm able to keep track of every project and discuss them in an easy and fast way. Another great thing is that you can keep and check the history of channels and groups, this way the discussions are never lost when someone joins the project in the middle of it or someone leaves, the history is always there.

The only thing that bothers me in the platform is the system of threads, where you can easily lose the messages cause they look kind of hidden. If you have multiple subjects with someone and the person only responds in threads, it's very common to lose their messages.

Overall my experience with Slack is very positive and I am optimistic that for all start-ups and new age companies out there Slack would be the go-to option with no other competing alternatives. But there are still some room for improvement so I would rate it 9 out of 10.

Slack is mainly used for communication with team. We have a situation where in half team works from office where half of them works from remote location there slack comes in to picture which brings the team work together and maintain in same page. Also we integrate slack with data dog a monitoring tool that triggers a notification via slack and inform us if any site down alert triggers.

To collaborate across the various teams to reduce the back and forth via the emails Slack plays a major role where we can engage multiple teams in a call and resolve the major complex issues. Slack acts as a collaborative tool to communicate between various teams and make business operations easier

After using Slack for almost 2 years now, based on my experience I would highly recommend that any software products / services development company should use Slack as their internal communication and project management tool. It is highly effective, seamless, and also helps in increasing the teams overall productivity. Slack is suited for all levels of organization - small, medium, large.

Slack is a great tool for communication in organizations that have reached scale. It allows you to communicate, share documents, and have short huddles. Areas that Slack can improve upon would be - consistency of huddle communication and clarity as well as providing more flexibility in terms of font, color and font size.

It is an extremely intuitive, easy to use and reliable communication tool. It maintains entire history of conversations so I can go back to previous messages anytime. It just works really well. It does exactly what I expect a communication tool to do. Also when working with external vendors we have the ability to add them to specific channels with restricted access. This is another plus point.

I would recommend Slack to a friend as it is easier to have an organized tool of communication in an online platform specifically for work and not to be messed with for different purposes. as it also offers voice recordings, which you can listen to at the speed you want, is a great feature, to listen to voice recordings and the feature that it can do a transcript is even better, however this still needs to be improved.

Slack is best suited in an organization where you are communicating with your team and want to work on multiple projects. You can make channels to divide it you can send DMs to keep some messages personal. You can reply in threads so there is no miscommunication. You can integrate Apps to get things in one place and much more.

I think if you want a fun and engaging communication platform for your company it is well suited. But I also feel the majority of use cases are covered by competitor tools like Teams. What is lacking in Slack is an integration with a calendar tool like Outlook, also access to a shared file site like Sharepoint

Quicker way to communicate, division in channels is very useful. Better experience related to other tools like Skype for business. Clean interface and good customer experience. The new release has a different way of showing some pages. Old way looked better fo my habits but the app improvement is good.
