Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica

Acumatica handles our inventory controls, customer invoicing, vendor payables, bank reconciliations and backlog reporting. It also maintains all of our customer and vendor master data and includes Colton’s by Paya and Avalara.

  • Created an automated process for backlog reporting utilizing generic inquiries saving 8 hours a month in manual report manipulation
Our team really likes the activities feature where we can upload purchase order and quotes to sales orders. We also like the feature of being able to see when emails were sent to customers in activities section.
We bought Acumatica for its flexibility in MRP planning, however we don’t use it. I think that’s a major red flag to Acumatica. Frankly we often question if Netsuite would have been the better option. However what we have is much better than Quickbooks or an old instance of Great Plains.

Acumatica is well suited for businesses that want a simple cloud solution with minimal custom configuration. However the fact that not many people have experience with the software will make recruiting and training a stepeer learning curve. Also required updates every 18 months is expensive and an interruption to the business.
