Overall Satisfaction with Dayforce
DayForce HCM is used across the whole organization for Time and Attendance and Employee Self-Service. DayForce HCM has multiple features/modules which streamline our daily processes and enables an increased accuracy rate of information posting to our employees master file. Workflows are a major benefit. Our workflows digitalized many documents and reduced 'lost or misplaced' information needed to ensure our employees receive accurate pay.
- Workflows reduce the number of face-to-face interactions and allows employees easy access to information such as address changes and direct deposit.
- Service, now, provides a faster turnaround on incidents.
- DayForce HCM is designed to reduce repetitiveness and 'loss' of information.
- The Reporting feature has room for MUCH improvement. We are not able to generate many needed finance/auditing reporting easily without assistance from service.
- Employees are pleased with their ANYTIME access and ability to view and make changes.
- Management is pleased with mobile app.
- Payroll is pleased with workflows.
Dayforce HCM is designed to run payroll previews in real-time and allow users to see labor costs instantly. Initially, this feature did not appear as a positive benefit; however, we utilize Real-Time to analyze increases or decreases in our payroll prior to commit. This aids in reduced manual checks and other employee issues.
Our automated rules was MOST beneficial regarding OnCall events. OnCall events occur during a 'designated' time each day. Events occurring during those times are recorded and paid differently. After we embedded the rule in the PayCode and developed a workflow, this event reduced 'hands-on' from 4 employees to 1 with much success.
Ceridian Dayforce does offer the ability to access real-time information and it is very beneficial. Our HR team's access enables them to provide valuable information throughout the hiring process which aids management in making quick decisions. The same is true for Shfit Leaders and supervisors regarding unexpected production crisis. We truly enjoy the platform.
The impact is positive. Housing all factors in a single application reduces error of duplicate key entries. Our managers are able to share information immediately as well as retrieve employee data instantly. The Employee Portal allows employees to view and access certain information, incuding personal and earnings, from any area.

Yes - Our organization was using an legacy product (EEMS) which required repeated entry of basic information. We were looking for a product to streamline our internal processes as well as enhance of employees access to their personal information and earnings from remote areas. If the opportunity to evaluate new products was presented to me, I would make sure key people such as HR, Payroll, Managers, and Employees offered input and feedback to ensure we captured the necessity to complete our day-to-day tasks efficiently and effectively without the need reinventing the wheel of successful productivity.
