Overall Satisfaction with Paycom
We utilize Paycom for payroll and HR. It is being used company wide. Our employees use the app to see their schedule, pay statements and other information. Our managers utilize Paycom for scheduling and to review time cards.
- Intuitive menus - easy to learn.
- Payroll processing - easy to follow the steps. Safeguards built in to the system.
- Support calls - representatives are generally able to answer my questions.
- Onboarding new employees.
- Support is good, but I don't think it is as good as in prior years. I rarely get my dedicated rep on a call. In the past, I was always informed of a change in representatives. I no longer receive this information ahead of time.
- Time Card Search - Option to only see Active Employees. I know I can utilize the batch edit function, but it would be much easier to only see active employees. If I get out of batch editing, it reverts back to all employees. This also makes it harder for managers who do not have as much experience in the system.
- In Advanced Scheduling, I find the templates to be a little difficult to deal with.
- Your pricing for additional services is high. Particularly for amended returns. When Congress made retroactive changes to the COVID tax credits available for 2021, it would have been nice for you to have offered the amended returns at a reduced cost.
- I still have trouble with some of the terminology in Document Management. Editable vs Non-Editable. Perhaps I just need more training.
- Definitely saved time and efficiency.
- Confidence in resources such as Employee Self Service.
- Accurate calculations, no need to download new tax tables.
- COVID guidance and pay codes automatically set up for us. We didn't have to spend valuable time with limited staff to handle these things.
- Efficiency gained from Employee self-onboarding.
I would rate Paycom a 10 and ADP a 3.
No comparison. In every aspect of the software and support, Paycom is better. I used ADP for the last time about 8 years ago. The software was difficult to use. Their Report Writer was almost impossible. Their support was terrible. I was always assigned a ticket number and always got a different rep. There was no dedicated account rep or team. They may have changed their product and support model, but I would never want to go back.
