We use the Absorb LMS to track education and external training all in one transcript. We also track MSHA ceus on the transcipt.

Issues we had in the past was assigning manditory education to those in the same division and job title correctly. Before some were being missed. Tracking expirey dates of cpr cards and renewing them. We are also cutting down on in person new hire orientation by delivering it through Absorb electronically as a video.
  • Ease of impersonating others for troubleshotting issues
  • Uploading content and allowing for resources and multifunctional courses
  • Approval process for External Training and Course uploads
  • Learner dashboard navigation is easy for users
  • Spell check not only for Absorb but for Create too
  • making all reports have the same display columns funtions - locations - supervisor- filter to show inactive employees on all reports
  • pull all reports assigned to one department to see gaps.
  • Seperate divisions/departments via by loaction when drilling down on department progress
  • Show percentage of completion out of total assigned at the bottom of the report.
The client success manager, Jason M., has provided great service and quick turn around time. When we had a ticket open because we didn't know if it was the course not working or the vendor controlling the course Jason was able to investigate and keep updating us until we resolved it . Testing the issue and figured out it was an issue on the vendor side.

Jason M. is a great client success manager! He quickly returns my emails and investigates my questions. If i have bigger issues he escalates it for me. We always discuss different projects coming up and the best solutions to those issues. I like working with Jason M. and think he should get a raise!

Yes, it was resolved in a timely fashion and email communication was back and forth.
Had an issue with 3rd party AICC zip files not popping up in a new frame. Reached out to client success agent and we duplicated the course and changed it to iframe to see if it would resolve the issue. It did not so the client success agent checked other chatter and saw this was an issue that day with the 3rd party vender HSI. So i reached out to HSI and got it resolved.

Absorb LMS is the primary e-Learning platform at my organization. The system is primarily used to disperse off-the-shelf soft-skill training, as well as our in-house curated training, to our field employees (RMs/DMs/Trainers/Store and Assistant Managers)
  • I have a wonderful Client Success Manager (Zoe MacKay) who always makes herself available to my organization when needed. She is a delight to work with.
  • The Absorb LMS platform is easy to navigate from an end-user perspective.
  • This is my first time administering an LMS platform, and Absorb LMS is pretty user-friendly once you get the hang of it!
  • I find the Absorb LMS Knowledge Base to be a bit laborious to have to search through to find answers...and sometimes they are not easily understandable
  • As simple as it may seem, I would like the ability to hit enter after entering search information rather than having to select the "Add Filter" button
  • I would like the ability to run reports on multiple things at once (i.e., courses, etc.)
Absorb is well-suited for companies using certain HRIS systems that only have employees in one country. Absorb LMS is not well-suited for companies that have multiple API pulls for different countries, hence you have to manually add and remove users.

Our Client Success Manager, Zoe, has been a tremendous support. She takes her time to explain things, is not easily frustrated with new administrators such as myself, loops in additional support or departments if needed, and is timely in her responses to my emails. Working with her has made this transition so much easier!
It is hard to compare because LinkedIn Learning is not a traditional LMS. My organization needed a traditional LMS to help with creating content as well as needing a comprehensive reporting tool

Most recently, she offered to join a team call to demo the Observation Checklist functionality, which is new to the team!

We have 4 entities located in different provinces in Canada.

One of the entity starts fresh with an opening and new staff to train. Absorb implementation worked like a charm.
The 2 others are more of a challenge, as we are in operation, and the buy-in of the managers ( who are accountable of the success of their employees and training) have more challenges.
The Head office is a no brainer.
  • The Paid Support is awesome!
  • The platform itself - easy to use
  • Communication (newsletter / emails)
  • I'm happy Absorb offers licences to add training courses (Amplify). Looking forward to more available options and French options
  • I feel like Absorb Academy is not that easy to use ot to get to when you have a specific question when programming.

We did create amazing content, very interactive with Create. It's nice to personalize our content!

We are about to purchase Amplify licences which is a great tool, easy to use, and the course options are starting to be interesting! We need more French versions though!
Always answering fast, very patient, and very knowledgeable.
Mainly, the decision was based on our HR system - we needed a connector with ADP.
Guest service is also an important aspect, and we did get great service, straight from te beginning!
The fact that Absorb is a Canadian Company was too, a bonus!

I was amazed at the calm and professionalism of Absorb Staff when I first start to attend meetings with one of my bosses, who was very much an unpleasant person. While I was freaking out on my end, they kept smiling and respectful...:)

But most of all, Zoe took the time to create How to create reports on Absorb video content, which I was able to share with my managers, a huge bonus for our team!

We use Absorb for our corporate learning platform, ELI. We also utilize Go1 integrated with Absorb. We mainly use our LMS for compliance, professional development, and reporting.

Absorb meets all of our basic needs. Where it falls short is the above and beyond. It would be great to be able to customize the experience for learners more and integrate learning into the workflow, such as within Teams. Hard to increase engagement with the platform when customization abilities for the learner side are fairly basic. Reporting capabilities have a way to go towards improvement. However, the support team is quick and knowledgeable.

Customer support has been consistently helpful and quick to respond. When we were launching an important course, the support team went above and beyond to work with us on-call and test the course before launch due to the course's size and complexity.

Most of the time, yes. We had found an issue where some SCORM files did not work in iFrame, only pop-up. These were mandatory trainings and caused widespread problems for learners. While the support team was helpful, it was frustrating that the bug was not actually fixed until months later, along with the quarterly update. This was a bug that was affecting many learners and affecting our compliance scores. It impacted learner's trust in the platform, and we didn't have a fix until months later. While the support team is very helpful, the platform is buggy at times.
We were launching a complex course type with a third-party vendor. The third-party vendor did not do very good quality control for the SCORM file, but we needed to ensure that the bugs were with the file, not the Absorb platform. The Absorb support team went above and beyond to ensure our confidence in the platform, testing different versions of the course ahead of time and even clicking through the course to ensure it worked properly. The issue wasn't even with the platform, but Absorb's team went above and beyond to ensure our confidence in the platform.
