Successful first LMS for our Company
Our company implemented Absorb LMS less than a year ago as our company's first-ever LMS. We reviewed several LMS systems and found that Absorb offered the features that we desired at a lower cost than other competitors. Prior to adopting an LMS, our training courses and records were decentralized and difficult to manage. Many of our prior training materials were PowerPoint presentations and not interactive for the audience. Adopting Absorb's LMS allowed us to centralize training records, provided easier access to training on-demand, and provided a more modern platform using video-based training. We were also able to create custom content with quizzes to confirm that learning objectives were met. Having the training records centralized in the LMS enabled our company to more efficiently confirm competency requirements for various industry and customer audits. We were much more efficient in transitioning repetitive training that had been instructor-led to video-based.

We have used many of the Absorb Amplify courses and have also integrated custom created content and third-party libraries. Being our first LMS system, this was a HUGE improvement over how our company had previously managed training delivery and record-keeping. We are much more compliant with mandatory training and have made good use of the training transcripts to demonstrate competency requirements for many of our industry, quality, and customer audits.

Absorb LMS offered us the best features for the cost. It has an intuitive user interface and will allow us to expand our internal course offerings with custom content. We really liked that it had the ability to add competencies and rate competency levels for employees.
The limits of the basic reporting feature were somewhat frustrating. We ended up adding Absorb Analyze in order to get reports broken out in the way that we needed. I feel like Absorb should include more customization in their basic product with regards to reporting. I also feel that the "Manager Experience" needs further development. We were under the impression that managers would have greater abilities to assign courses, etc. than what they actually had, although I know that this feature is continuing to evolve.

Change management was a minor issue with the implementation
The biggest obstacle that we faced was internally with our Quality/Document Control staff. Prior to the implementation of an LMS, training and review of "spec changes' were all tracked in one spreadsheet. Our internal department struggled with differentiating "training" and "spec reviews", and how to track that employees were up-to-date on the current specifications for processes on how to do their jobs, (mostly in manufacturing/warehouse areas), which was a requirement for ISO and other industry audits. We did not want to "re-invent" a document control system in the LMS and needed to create a process for tracking "spec" reviews.

- Getting reports broken out the way that we needed them to monitor compliance
- Because we developed a custom connector/API to connect ADP, (we didn't purchase ADP's connector), we had to manually update changes in the LMS until the custom connector was fully developed, which took 2.5 months to complete.

WE also have our own training recordings and make it available on Absorb so other user can go back to the training in case they miss or if they want to re-cap. The problem we were having was that trainings were done, and users were not able to participate, we then have absorb so solve this issue. It works well.

Absorb LMS is the primary e-Learning platform at my organization. The system is primarily used to disperse off-the-shelf soft-skill training, as well as our in-house curated training, to our field employees (RMs/DMs/Trainers/Store and Assistant Managers)
- I have a wonderful Client Success Manager (Zoe MacKay) who always makes herself available to my organization when needed. She is a delight to work with.
- The Absorb LMS platform is easy to navigate from an end-user perspective.
- This is my first time administering an LMS platform, and Absorb LMS is pretty user-friendly once you get the hang of it!
- I find the Absorb LMS Knowledge Base to be a bit laborious to have to search through to find answers...and sometimes they are not easily understandable

Absorb is an easy to use LMS with great functionality
We use Absorb across our entire organization across dozens of office locations throughout the United States. We deliver all of our organization-created courses as well as off the shelf courses to all of our employees, including new hire orientation as well as individual training modules. This has helped us tremendously in cutting costs from traveling to locations to do training as well as creating a standard form of training across all locations.

A wide variety of admins, managers, & the majority are learners that use the system for trainings throughout the year. This also includes in house created courses in addition to "off the shelf" courses through our vendor OpenSesame. Absorb LMS has really helped us streamline training across our company and ensures that each location throughout the United States is getting the same high quality training.

We only have 2 top level administrators that control, assist employees, edit/add new content and use Absorb Create to create brand new content. Both administrators picked up and learned absorb on the fly with very little additional training needed. The software is very intuitive and easy to learn. Our admins did come from a systems/IT/training background so that may have helped as well.

Great LMS for first time users.
Absorb LMS is currently used for internal users and will also be available to external users in the near future. We utilize Absorb as a learning tool for employees for any new features and processes, along with use instructions for our employees. Specific courses are built for specific departments. My primary role at the company is Education and I mainly work within Absorb as my job duty.
