We use Adobe Acrobat DC to create PDF files. These are some of the ways we use Adobe Acrobat: Read PDF files created by others Create PDF files from Word and Excel or Google Workspace documents. The created documents look better and the fonts and colors and formatting are preserved Convert presentations into PDF documents before we distribute them. See previous Word and Excel files. The formatting is preserved and the document displays properly regardless of the operating platform it is viewed on Converting to PDF files also removes information from documents like notes or formulas that you don't want to share outside of your organization. Convert PDF files into Word documents so they can be edited or the content repurposed Convert PDF files and copy the data into tables in PDF files that can be placed into spreadsheet Signing agreements electronically. We can sign agreements that others send us or use them to convert agreements in Word Files or Google Docs to executable agreements Creating a secure document such as a contract so the document language is preserved as written and/or agreed to. Printing documents such as web pages to PDF files so we can preserve them
  • OCR works really well to convert existing PDF files into editable documents in Word
  • Extract tables in PDF files so they can be imported to spreadsheets
  • Preserves the formatting of documents that you create and convert to PDF
  • Reduce the file size of documents that contain lots of graphics without reducing the quality of the images
  • Documents that are created in other files and converted to PDFs retain the original formatting better than any other PDF-creating program I've used
  • Easy access to your PDF files and executed agreements across all devices because they are stored in the cloud
  • It is well integrated with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365 for both document editing/production and storage. Don't know about Box and Dropbox because I don't use them for business
  • Adobe sign works fine but is not as robust or as feature-rich as DocuSign. But DocuSign is considerably more expensive and may be more than you need
  • There are better options for organizing documents in the Cloud if cloud-based PDF file management is important to you. If you are managing your files in other solutions like Box it doesn't matter as much
  • The file management is not good enough to effectively organize a large volume of agreements. I would look to other programs to organize and store contracts. For example, if you wanted to receive notifications when contracts are expiring, or quickly see important items in an agreement, like knowing if something you were negotiating in an agreement might conflict with existing agreements, keep looking
Adobe Document Cloud is great for creating and editing PDF files. It is also created for converting all types of documents to PDF files and is well integrated with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365. If you need to convert a PDF file into a document that can be edited in MS Word it is great for that. Same if you need to extract data from a table in a PDF file and export it into a spreadsheet. The function for signing and sending documents for signature works great. Adobe Sign falls short if you need a robust contract management system to manage your existing agreements Adobe Sign is not the solution for you or you will need something beyond it.
  • Adobe sign reviewing and getting contracts signed
  • Converting documents like spreadsheets, Word/Google Doc files, and presentations to PDF files and sending them outside the information with only the information we want to distribute outside of our organization. For example, if you want to show numbers in a spreadsheet but don't want to reveal formulas, Adobe Acrobat is great for that.
  • We can convert almost any document/presentation/spreadsheet/web page into a PDF that can be stored for future reference.
  • Adobe Document Cloud makes it easy to search PDF files.
  • Our contracts are executed much more efficiently. No need to print anything out and the agreement is automatically sent to the other party after it is signed electronically. Turn around time on signing agreements can be as short as a few minutes.
  • Because contracts can be locked we can be confident that the language in executed agreements is what we intended.
  • Our information is secure. For example, if we send a table in a spreadsheet we are not concerned that someone will see the formulas. Or if we convert a presentation or
  • We work with a lot of data and tables. It is very efficient to be able to convert data into a table into a PDF file we receive and export the data to a spreadsheet. That saves us potentially hours of time in extracting data from a PDF.
It's easy to view PDF documents on all devices and it is well integrated with other apps in different devices. When converting a document to a PDF, the formatting is maintained across any device format. That includes the color fidelity is maintained and the fonts display as created.
The biggest impact Adobe security and compliance standards have had on our organization is we don't have to worry about the compliance and security of documents created in or stored in Document Cloud. We have never had a problem with anyone recognizing the validity of contracts signed in Document Cloud nor has anyone ever refused to use Adobe Sign.
DocuSign has more features than Adobe Acrobat DC but it costs more and we don't need those features. HelloSign is not as robust as Adobe Acrobat DC. We have yet to use a program that we were as satisfied with the results of converting documents into PDF files as we are with Adobe Acrobat DC. Adobe Acrobat DC is a must-have in our organization. It is stable, we are not concerned about the company disappearing and the changes they have made in the product over the years have enhanced the user experience.

I have used various editions of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Acrobat DC for years. It is reliable and does what Adobe says it will do and what I need it to do.
Not at all. We can focus on other things to manage the organization
Because I don't need it. Used it years ago for account management/billing issues but they have changed the user experience so more of that can be managed online. If I have a question the knowledge base or a video that Adobe has posted answers.
No. Don't need it. The product is so reliable and easy to use. I don't use the basic support beyond the knowledge base
No
I have needed exceptional support for this product. It works well and is easy to use.
  • Creating a PDF from a document in another format. The resulting document looks perfect Fore example, the text in an MS Word or Google Doc that has been converted to PDF is very sharp
  • Using OCR and converting a PDF to another format such as Microsoft Word or a table in a PDF file for spreadsheet use
  • Editing PDF files
  • Preparing a contract for signature i.e. entering the correct signature boxes is not always smooth. Especially if I need to make changes (before the document is saved). If I make a mistake I frequently just start over
  • Retrieving and managing documents signed in Adobe Sign could be better
Yes
I use it on a smartphone, not a tablet. Adobe Sign is fine if you need to sign a contract on the go but not if you need to read the agreement at length. I primarily use the mobile interface to consume content, not create or edit it.
The integrations are prebuilt so it only takes a few minutes. It is easy to convert files in those programs to PDF files. It also easy to convert PDF files into formats that can saved in or exported into those programs.
  • Nothing at this time
  • File import/export
There are lots of prebuilt integrations so it is fast and easy
You don't have to spend a lot of time on integrations because Adobe Acrobat DC is so widely used and integrated it is easy to find a prebuilt integration
