  • Still pretty early for it, so I'd say it's still taking shape. It does a big one for us as it's just helping us pull back on some pretty complex technical debt that was associated with the Legacy tool. So that's one place I know where we're realizing some gains right out of the gate. I would say our team very regularly finds ideas. We came across this kind of obscure game that was pretty well hidden on our site. We've had it for a long time, like a word puzzle game, and found that it only had like one ad on it, but then we started looking at the data and saying, there's actually a lot of people using this and they're spending a decent amount of time on it. So right away that's low-hanging fruit of "Oh hey, we could be doing a little bit more to promote this game and monetize it."

  • I like to think it's positive. It's a very steep learning curve, so we do face a lot of challenges with adoption inside of the companies. My team and I evangelize this and also who's in charge of data and advanced analytics, but it's very hard to leverage that with typical business analysis people. These are people who live their life in Excel and SQL and Power BI. They just use this very occasionally and by only looking at that sort of aggregate data, they miss out on behavior and what actually happens in execution. And because it's such a steep learning curve, we do have a challenge pushing it in there.

  • I think for us we were following this thing called OKRs: objectives, key results, where it's kind of like KPI, but with a soul is what they call it. We set these objectives and for the last year and a half a lot of those objectives, I build out specific reports so I can just easily go in there and say, okay, where we are wanting this specific thing to go up 10%. So I can easily see that and fill out my other reports with it with a summary.

  • A ton. So when I first started with Adobe Analytics, our analytics team only had one tag per media channel with no additional breakdowns available within the tag. So a lot of the parameters were very redundant saying the same things. We just weren't getting a lot of the support that we needed. So I had to work with each of our channel teams and develop a taxonomy for our tags to tell us our main funding sources, our act, our AC paid channels, and their sub-channel tactics. So we now have a very granular view of marketing in Adobe Analytics that has allowed us to ask for incremental funding. We're hitting global RevPAR targets and we're able to use that data and supplement where there's risk and need elsewhere in the company. So it's been super cool.

  • Actually this is a huge one. Just last year I got put on a new team that my company created and one of the sole purposes of this new team was to bring digital performance to the forefront of our company. Digital is the future and our leaders are really seeing that. Now looking forward, we're in a great position to take off with what we can do with Adobe Analytics, what we can do for the company. There's just so much opportunity for projects and insights and really everything seems limitless at this point. It's only going to get pushed more towards the digital side of things.

  • Anytime you can get more clarity as to what's going on and help drive your decision making process, you can always count on that as a return on investment. I think Adobe Analytics is not the least expensive thing out there. It's a fairly expensive product to invest in, but the visibility, the insights that we get from the analyses that our analytics teams come up with really, really help drive decision-making in a significant way for us. We've worked hard over the years to get our users to trust that the Adobe data is good, that the Adobe tools will help them with the analysis that they want to do. I think it's been a big influence and a big help for us overall.

  • Some of my company goals are data utilization and bringing insights to the table. I think we've been able to identify markets that we weren't aware we were hitting. Last year there was a big thing about Gen Z, they are buying, what their niche is, etc. Because we have different brands and each brand has its own thing. One is green energy, the other one is affordable energy, then the main brand. So we were able to identify where that market was and they are more toward green energy.

  • I would say more positive for sure. We can take business decisions using data that we have in Adobe Analytics to maybe for say AB testing, right? We are the target so we can analyze the data in Adobe Analytics and we can run an AB test to see what Stats FIG is on the particular experience.

  • We're more profitable because of it. If you can't understand what to improve, what actually will guide your thinking? We can have objective measures based on data-driven decisions based on the data that Adobe generates for us, whether they're KPIs or OKRs. Any type of measurement that you want to derive for improvement, Adobe constitutes the ability to put all those things together and understand optimization over time. We use it to make the experience better for customers and to make it more profitable for the bank.
