Adobe Analytics is being used for web analytics, tracking and web personalization in my organization. Website user behavior is tracked to optimize customer experience. Customer segments are created and shared with Adobe Target and Campaign for web personalization and targeting customers across multiple channels for a cross-device experience. Based on analytics reports, decision-making is enabled by understanding the most and least effective channels, products etc. Currently, Adobe Analytics is been used on an enterprise level and managed by my team which is the Marketing Technology team.
In my experience, Analytics combined with tag management solution such as launch helps my team to roll out new products on website with reduced TAT by adding tracking rules on webpages, testing them through debugger and adding values to the report suite.
  • Segment creation
  • Integration with other marketing cloud suite like campaign and target
  • Interactive report suite
  • Real time reporting
  • Report accuracy
  • Attribution modelling
  • Costing
  • Customer suppport
  • Training
Well suited for both web and mobile app setup using Adobe launch and mobile app extensions. If a client is using Adobe marketing product suite, then Adobe Analytics is most recommended as it integrates easily with applications and creates the best customer experience. Also, for enterprise clients with no cost constraints, Adobe Analytics works best.
However, for client with budget constraints, they can go with Google Analytics. Google Analytics provides web analytics solution on a very low cost as compared to adobe analytics. Also, for lower web traffic GA would provide same results as compared to adobe analytics. Also, if the digital marketing stack doesn't consist of any product from Adobe marketing cloud suite, then Adobe Analytics won't add any additional value like out of the box integrations.
  • Increase in customer revisits
  • Decrease in operating cost
  • Increase in customer acquisition
  • Increase in ROAS
We selected Adobe Analytics considering our website traffic volume, as our website traffic volume goes into the few millions every month. Also, we were already using Adobe Campaign for our email, notification campaigns where we had to implement website and app drop-off use cases, which were easily implemented with the help of Out of the box integration between Adobe Campaign and adobe analytics.

Also, we are planning to expand our digital efforts by including audience manager and web personalization solution where Adobe has a strong presence and would work very well with all the digital marketing technologies product suite. Also, the variables storage limit is pretty vast as compared to GA or Kissmetrics
The portal to raise support tickets is very streamlined by Adobe which only requires access to the admin console.
The support folks need to be more responsive and proactive while supporting customers especially for P1 incidents.
The overall experience has been good and there is scope for improvement in terms of quality support.
Adobe analytics is very simple to navigate and use even for beginners.
The dashboards and reports can be accesses very easily and with initial trainings from Adobe it becomes easy to go through and filter the reports.
For creating advanced dashboards users need to get some level of training, however Adobe has structured those very well.
The professional services team is one of the best teams for complex adobe analytics implementations, especially for clients having multiple website and mobile applications.
However, the cost of professional services is a bit high which makes few clients opt out of it, but for large scale implementations they are very helpful.
I have rarely seen any outage with adobe analytics as it's setup on experience cloud which has over 99% availability.
For planned upgrades, adobe would publish a calendar indicating them.
Even if there's an outage the systems are brought back to normal very quickly and clients are updated regularly on system status.
Adobe analytics is a robust platform in terms of data management, reporting and dashboards etc.
The only problem is the data sync timeframe which requires even 24-48 hours to sync the data completely which becomes an overhead and time consuming process for proof of concept and demo projects which needs to be fixed.

We use Adobe Analytics to measure key website metrics. Insights from the metrics are shared across the company including marketing, finance and strategy. We are able to identify which channels and campaigns are more effective than others. Also we run multiple A/B tests on form designs and locations to optimize the website performance.
  • We setup very specific segments to figure out which customer segments are responding better for specific campaigns.
  • Adobe Analytics can track customers across multiple sites using customer IDs, which are very useful.
  • Its data visualization capacity is very strong.
  • There is no built-in bot traffic filtering functionality so we had to manually build a segment for that.
  • It would be nice if there is a dynamic alert for an unusual data patterns
Adobe Analytics is a wonderful site analytics solution for large enterprises with reliable tag management resource. If the tags are not well managed it would provide very little value. It would be good for companies with multiple websites to track and manage.
  • Adobe Analytics helps us to measure exact number of customer conversions on the website and calculate ROIs from the campaign
  • Adobe Analytics can easily identify which campaigns are more effective than other campaigns - which led to shut down ineffective campaigns
Adobe Analytics requires huge financial investments compared to other solutions but we believe Adobe Analytics is the best tool in the market
They have pretty solid support for enterprise users. They provided nice on-site training and it helped me a lot. Also they have great online and Youtube resource for product knowledge.
Adobe Analytics has quite advanced usability with end users in mind. It is very easy to use and learn even for the true new users. Also it uses color schemes very effectively. I like the usability of newer drag and drop dashboard.
Adobe Analytics team provides decent professional services, especially for product training. They provided on-site product training for my team and it helped us a lot. The trainer was quite knowledgeable.
Not really. Their pricing structure was quite straightforward (parallel to usage volume) so I was fine with it.
I rarely experience outage issues with Adobe Analytics. It was very dependable solution. They have some planned outages due to product upgrades and it was totally fine.
Adobe Analytics's performance was quite satisfactory. Even for very large volume of data, it works pretty fast and I can get the results I want within a few seconds. When you run the data for custom dates, it tends to slow down a bit.
Adobe Analytics is mostly used by Analytics group. Some of the business users with savvy digital skills are using it too.

Very strong understanding on Adobe Tagging would be required to support Adobe Analytics. Also it would require strong cross-functional collaboration skills between IT and business. Usually people with IT backgrounds are performing well on this job.
  • Digital Campaign Reporting
  • Website Behavior Analysis
  • Website Testing
  • Input for predictive modeling on business performances
  • Finding out patterns of bots
  • Digital Marketing Attribution
  • User Behavior Research for multiple customer segments
Very satisfied with the current functionality and Look forward to upcoming future AI functionality (Adobe Sensei). Also love the integration with other Adobe products such as Adobe Audience Manager.

Adobe Analytics is the most robust Enterprise-level digital analytics solutions in the market. It is quite expensive, but we chose it because of its advanced functionality and usability.
If I had to do it again, I would still choose Adobe Analytics but may try to negotiate around account support.
  • Implemented in-house
No
Change management was a minor issue with the implementation
It was not a major issue for us. Our organization is already very flexible so we can adapt the change pretty well. Adobe Analytics implementation went as planned.
  • Budget issues
Give some slack in your implementation schedules. Make sure it works well as planned. You want to have right data in the long run.
  • Online training
  • in-person training
I had a chance to participate in the in-person training for our team. I learned new functionalities and it was quite satisfactory.
I took some of their Youtube training on Adobe Analytics. It helped me to learn things I did not know.

We don't have enough budget for premium support.
No
Adobe instructors visited my office and delivered a great session for Adobe Analytics users in our group. We learned a lot from the session.
  • Segmentation
  • Data Visualization
  • Importing data from another systems
Yes, but I don't use it
Adobe Analytics was being used across multiple teams and we did not have any scalability issues.

Adobe Analytics is our company's primary source of performance measurement for all aspects of our B2C website. We utilize Adobe Analytics as the 'version of the truth' in supporting business decisions relating to A/B test and experience optimization campaigns, reporting to senior management, and providing deep analysis on all aspects of our digital marketing. Adobe Analytics provides the quickest viewpoint to measure of campaign performance from email, SMS, and digital marketing.
  • Real-time access to website performance throughout the entire digital experience.
  • Flexible & comprehensive custom report building using the Analytics Workspace tool
  • Integration with other Adobe solutions (Adobe Target, Adobe Launch) to provide a single viewpoint for all aspects of digital performance.
  • Level of technical effort needed to implement Adobe Analytics is VERY high
  • Adobe Analytics customer support could be more responsive.
  • Dependency to train team members is quite high. Each team member MUST go through several exhaustive training classes to be able to take command of the solution on the day to day basis. Training is VERY expensive.
If you're looking for the gold standard in web performance measurement, that provides a very detailed perspective of all aspects of your digital performance, then Adobe Analytics is a great solution. Before deciding on Adobe Analytics, one must be prepared to take on the integration work which is very time-consuming and difficult to get right with the initial implementation. [In my experience], Adobe's support with integration was lacking unless you're willing to [put] up the big dollars to bring on their consulting team to do the work. There are many development companies out there that can also do the work for 25-25% less than the Adobe consultants. Integration is HARD, but if you are committed and can get the work completed, then you'll be VERY happy using this amazing platform for your performance measurement.
  • Positive: Providing a view on performance has enabled our team to identify issues allowing us to curate our A/B test backlog.
  • Positive: Allowing us to respond to requests from senior management and other departments to create custom reports.
  • Negative: The cost and time to integrate was much more expensive and longer than forecasted.
No comparison. Google Analytics (free) is a great tool to provide a baseline of performance measurement. Its directional ability to provide reports is good but nowhere close to the granularity and flexibility that is provided within the Adobe Analytics platform. It is the difference between driving a KIA (Google) vs. a Ferrari (Adobe).
While Adobe offers an exceptionally rich performance measurement platform with Adobe Analytics (AA), the technical barrier to implementing AA correctly to ensure that your website is being tracked correctly is VERY high. Any organization that is considering Adobe Analytics as a replacement to Google Analytics or other web performance measurement platform needs to make sure they have experienced development resources available to ensure that AA is implemented correctly. I've gone through two implementations of AA and both times we needed to apply additional resources including engaging external consulting and support to complete the implementation correctly. Adobe will support at a premium cost.
Adobe Analytics is a very robust web analytics platform. AA comes with a full collection of standard "out-of-the-box" reports that provides a comprehensive view of overall website performance. The true power and benefit of Adobe Analytics come through its custom Workspace report building tool that allows users to create very detailed & customizable reports and dashboards. Workspace enables users to create reports using a multitude of dimensions, metrics, segments, and apply varying date ranges to provide performance trending or comparisons. Workspace is generally easy to use and comprehend if you have experience using other custom report builders like Tableau.
Make sure you purchase training and implementation support either from Adobe or a third party or you will be left alone to figure out how to effectively use this platform yourself. Professional services are not a strong aspect of Adobe support. They will sell you the tool and leave you to your own devices UNLESS you purchase their additional consulting and/or training services. There are lower-cost training and consulting services available that are arguably more effective than engaging the team at Adobe to support.
Adobe is always looking for multi-year agreements and there are pricing incentives when you factor this along with other Adobe solutions that you may be purchasing for your organization. While this can be advantageous to obtaining better annual pricing, Adobe Analytics can be very expensive as compared to other web analytics solutions in the market. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) may be a better solution for most companies that are posed with budget constraints or limited development resources.

Adobe Analytics subscription is based on annual pricing.
I can't give any negative feedback here. Adobe Analytics is always working and accessible in support of our website. That said, make sure you implement fully to ensure your attribute=ing your performance accurately.
Again, no issues here. Performance within the day updates hourly. other reports are updated overnight and available to access by the next morning. Pages load quickly, the site navigates easily and the UX is quite straightforward to get command over. On this front, I give Adobe kudos for building a great experience to work within.

Yes, during the initial implementation window. Due to the barrier, Adobe Analytics requires, premium support is necessary to ensure you are implementing correctly. Recommend companies consider engaging external non-Adobe resources to improve support responsiveness and to save dollars.
Yes
Escalation to their team is sent to an off-shore support resource to handle. This can take time (24-48 hours) to receive a response. Typically, support issues require a multitude of questions and answers before issues are able to be investigated and resolved.

Adobe Analytics is used to gather, clean up, map, process, and report on digital analytics data for all business websites, online shops, and commerce sites, as well as all apps that are guest-facing. Different teams manage different sections of analytics depending on the business line. My team uses app data, including implementation, processing, and dashboard building.
  • workspace dashboards have come a long way, improved functionality greatly, especially multiple report suite usage functionality
  • variable processing is relatively easy with the newish processing rules not interfering with each other
  • data is more reliable than other digital data sources
  • processing times are very long and it can take hours to build a dashboard
  • the interface needs some work to improve client-facing report looks
  • out of box variables sometimes are not usable
If you have a website that generates income or an online shop I do not think there is a better tool to implement and use than Adobe Analytics. It brings a range of variables that are very helpful to understand your user behavior and website functionality and help make optimizations.
  • product improvements led by data analysis
  • automated reporting
  • robust reporting helps stay informed on data quality
Support for Adobe Analytics is ok, it used to be worse years ago. Now, the technology team at Adobe is way more knowledgeable on the product itself as well as the implementation. They also study your custom implementation and have good knowledge of where your company stands. Dedicated support is something worth considering.
Sometimes the processing times are very long. I have had reports or dashboards time out multiple times during presentations. It could be improved. It is understandable since there is a huge data set that the tool is processing before showing anything, however for a company that large they should invest in optimizing processing times.
Services are fine if you invest in your dedicated support. It's always a good idea to have your own technician since they learn your specific implementation and know it so well, sometimes they can recommend improvements. I would go with the paid service of having your own support person at Adobe. Otherwise, general service can be slow and time-consuming.
Adobe Analytics is relatively affordable compared to other tools, given it provides a range of flexible variables to use that I have not found in any other tools so far. It is worth investing in if your company is medium or large-sized and brings a steady flow of revenue. For small companies, it can be overpriced.

We've implemented Adobe [Analytics] for the following use cases:
Tag management
Web Analytics
Error tracking and alerts
Conversion tracking and reporting
Audience creation for retargeting
UTM tracking Integration with Adobe Audience Manager
  • Very comprehensive set of tools to customize reporting through the data layer
  • Workspace is very intuitive and data visualization is instantaneous
  • Set up has been made a lot easier through a UI based implementation
  • Support for implementation is lacking
  • Resource intensive set up which can be complicated to learn
  • Not having access to all features by default and having to pay additional money for locked features
Well suited for large scale websites with complicated user journeys. Large organizations will benefit as they can spend more and pay for the implementation to be done by the Adobe consultants. One could also utilize other Adobe platforms and integrate with [Adobe Analytics] for a holistic marketing setup. For SMEs it's a little difficult to recommend unless you don't like the alternatives.
  • Helped with understanding the core audience
  • Enabled tracking of conversions and problem points
Support is good, but they don't really help you with your implementation.
Easy to use.
They don't answer all your questions. Some of their solutions are not fully fleshed out.
Server call limit should be increased. Data costs must be properly specified to avoid ambiguity.
