In one of my previous roles (digital marketing agency), we utilised Advertity for data visualisation on a number of our different clients. As we were an agency that had a vast amount of services, and provided a lot of these for our clients it meant that we needed to be experts on our data set and what it was doing. We used Advertity to combine all of our insights together, particularly to be utilsed by our paid media team, to provide opportunities for enhancements. I was a user that often went into the dashboard and reviewed the data.
  • Customizable dashboards, that you could change and make unique to your specific need / business.
  • Combining a range of data sets into one view.
  • Easily sharable insights, that you can share internally or also with clients.
  • I think it would have been more user friendly if there was more labelling capabilities, so that when you are sharing the dashboard they would explain what the data is - rather than depending on someone knowing how to use the dashboards or being there to explain it.
  • Our teams found that some of the scheduling functionality could be a little big buggy, so this was something that needed extra care and attention, so therefore may be an area that needs to be improved (unless it was just our account and usage).
Adverity is particularly useful if there is a large range of data sets that you want to combine to get an 'overall' view. Previously we had used Google Analytics, but found that this was too useful for our big client accounts that we were working on. So I think that if there is an individual who is responsible for analytics or data, and also a paid media team then this is a tool which is essential. For companies that have limited activity then I think this tool could potentially over-complicate for less reward.
  • Combining different data sets, into one overall view
  • Creating multiple dashboards, that allow cross collaboration between various teams
  • This tool has allowed us to be able to see areas for opportunities, when all of the data has been combined
  • We were also able to better prioritise actions and where to focus our attention, when we had one view where all of the data was together. This allowed us to deliver better results for our clients, and also have a clearer roadmap of activity
Previously I had never really used a tool like this, only using software such as GA to look at any insights and review performance. So I think that the combined view of having all of the data sets (Which in my role I wouldn't always particularly have access to), was really useful. As an individual who was optimising our clients websites it meant that I was really able to prioritise what was important, but also have a great view of absolutely all activity that was happening.

We manage all of our marketing data through adverity, both for our own Brand and Performance groups, as well as for our largest grossing ad products under the CARS umbrella.
  • User-friendly report setup and ingestion
  • Easy integration with multiple data endpoints, making it easy for users to drive value
  • Incredible customer support, allowing users (regardless of technical background) to act like power-users
  • Adverity is running into some issues being able to custom-develop API connectors at scale/speed. This is mostly because of their rapid growth and incredible core product. If you need custom development, be prepared to use one of the many easy-to-use workarounds Adverity offers for endpoints they don't have a direct integration with. Don't worry - you'll get your data either way.
If you're a marketing organization that wants to own your data architecture, get away from hours of manual excel work, and build a flexible and scalable BI practice for yourself and your clients, Adverity is your solution. Especially if you don't have a dedicated analytics team or current database solution.

If you have access to a wide variety of API's and a fully staffed team to custom develop new connectors in under 30 days for no incremental cost, you're probably best in-housing.
  • Robust set of connectors
  • Great Customer Service
  • Adverity has saved hundreds of man hours per month in reporting and data aggregation. I can think of no solution we've onboarded that has saved so much human capital expense for so little effort in setup and maintenance.
Frankly, the service, UI, and ease-of-use for Adverity made it a no brainer compared to competiton.
