Airfocus has proven to be a valuable tool for organizing and prioritizing roadmap items, allowing users to plan quickly and efficiently. According to users and reviewers, Airfocus enables easy sharing of roadmap items internally and externally, promoting transparency and gathering feedback. The live information provided by the software on the product roadmap has reduced the need for rework and facilitated quick reordering of items. Users have also appreciated the ability to customize views of the roadmap, which has significantly improved productivity by allowing them to easily toggle between different perspectives. By breaking away from Jira, Airfocus has enabled a separation of duties between engineering and product teams, focusing on visions and outcomes. This makes it particularly useful for mid to long-term roadmapping, helping users plan future work and work towards longer-term goals. The software's visualization capabilities, such as identifying critical paths and addressing resource issues, facilitate discussions around priorities. Additionally, common workflows and views that align with product management processes make it easy to set up a contextual workspace in Airfocus. Users have found that this tool allows them to strategically prioritize near-term and mid-term roadmap items, enabling them to focus on building products that add business value. The software also enables teams to have a shared view of the roadmap in both detailed and high-level forms, driven by the same roadmap items. This level of visibility across teams has been instrumental in prioritizing features and ideas. Another valuable feature of Airfocus is its prioritization tool, which helps users own and triage support items before bringing them to the team. In terms of usability, users have found Airfocus to be a fast and easy-to-use roadmap tool that effectively prioritizes what needs to be built. The software allows for easy summarization of projects from different areas of the company, providing a good overview and enabling prioritization. Moreover, Airfocus has been beneficial for collecting feedback, evaluating requirements, and promoting transparency in one place. It has also been valuable for tracking initiatives, visualizing them on a timeline or chart, and prioritizing them based on ratings. While users find Airfocus to be a valuable planning tool, some have suggested improvements in the time planning features. The software has facilitated cross-functional alignment by providing visibility and alignment across teams. Airfocus has been used to bring the vision of a platform to fruition, assessing the impact and value of roadmap items, and syncing them with development backlogs. The product has also been used for strategic planning, gathering ideas, scoring them, assigning owners, and executing them. Overall, Airfocus has been valuable in practicing agile methodologies and visualizing product management, making it easier to facilitate stakeholder communication. The integration with Jira has saved time and improved visualizations, while the Priority Poker feature has facilitated synchronized agile decision-making. Users have found Airfocus useful for prioritizing and managing customer requests for product improvements. The chart view in Airfocus helps users identify quick wins and low-value projects, aiding in the decision-making process for defining roadmaps. Exported reports from Airfocus are useful for presenting to external stakeholders, with users often creating separate workspaces for internal and external consumption. Airfocus has solved the problem of visibility with leadership, allowing for better communication and understanding of projects on the horizon. By using Airfocus, users have been able to prioritize a long list of ever-changing ideas and determine the next best thing. The scoring feature in Airfocus provides an unbiased idea of everyone's opinions, helping manage stakeholders on a strategic level. Additionally, Airfocus has made the process of managing stakeholders faster, creating transparency and acceptance across all stakeholders. Users have also appreciated the ability to structure complex multi-team roadmaps, automatically organize stories by dependencies and dates, and utilize clear and useful scoring. This functionality allows them to align decisions with strategic priorities and facilitates cross-party alignment within organizations. The ease of use, extensive features, and integrations offered by Airfocus make it scalable and affordable for syncing with other tools like Jira and Trello. Overall, users have found that Airfocus improves communication and collaboration among product teams and stakeholders within their companies. It helps capture ideas, create roadmaps, and manage product planning in a more organized way while providing a central place for monitoring and prioritizing work. With its comprehensive visualizations and prioritization capabilities, Airfocus ensures that the most impactful tasks are always being worked on.

The ability to create clear roadmaps allows teams to align their efforts and make informed decisions about what features or projects to focus on.

Easy-to-Use Interface: The tool is praised for its easy-to-use interface and clearly structured user interface. Numerous users appreciate how intuitive it is to navigate through Airfocus, allowing them to quickly understand and utilize its features without much effort. This simplicity is particularly helpful for onboarding new team members who can easily familiarize themselves with the software.

Customizable Prioritization Settings: Users appreciate the flexibility to define their own settings for prioritization based on value and cost in Airfocus. Several reviewers have mentioned how they can customize the priority matrix, creating custom weights for items, enabling them to tailor the tool's prioritization system according to their specific needs. This customization feature enhances the usability of Airfocus by adapting it to different workflows and decision-making processes.

Price and Integration: Users have suggested that the price of the software could be lower and that better integration with Jira and other tools is needed. They believe that the current pricing does not provide enough value for what they are paying.

Roadmap Timeline Dependencies: Users have noticed that the roadmap timeline view lacks the ability to indicate dependencies, which they believe would be a valuable feature improvement. This limitation makes it difficult for them to accurately represent relationships between different tasks or items in their roadmaps.

It is a valuable tool for product management teams and executives, providing clarity to the product roadmap and aiding in brainstorming and strategy meetings. Users recommend Airfocus for tracking and prioritizing tasks. They suggest giving Airfocus a try as it is a simple yet useful tool. Initially, I stumbled upon airfocus as part of a product team evaluation of a number of different tools designed to make product prioritization and roadmapping a bit easier for our department. We evaluated a number of different SaaS options before settling on airfocus as one of several tools we would use to encourage collaboration not only among the product team but to help better communicate priorities with stakeholders within the company.
  • Product prioritization was made simple by compiling stakeholder input on projects to determine the proper order to execute differing projects. Priority poker-like features are a huge timesaver.
  • Creating roadmaps could not be easier in airfocus. Creating new projects is intuitive and you can customize settings that allow you to automatically add projects to the overall roadmap. There are a number of choices for the roadmap templates also which is nice depending on individual product managers' needs and expertise.
  • Perhaps the most useful feature(s) of airfocus are the collaboration tools. The ability to build out product roadmaps with the entire team's input saves countless hours of in-person prioritization meetings and has made refinement meetings with engineering team go much more smoothly.
  • Sharing of finished products (e.g., road maps) via downloading or PDF docs could be a bit less high touch than they currently are. The product works best when all stakeholders have a seat but not all stakeholders (i.e. non-product team members) like to work that way, exporting options for them could be better.
  • Customization (look & feel) options are pretty limited.
  • JIRA integration only works for JIRA in the cloud customers.
Airfocus is as well suited for large product teams that have several members working on the same product line as it is for a product team of one. For large teams, the collaboration tools that come in the out-of-the-box solution act as a huge timesaver. Frankly speaking, it will help eliminate a lot of resource-intensive face-to-face meetings. For individual managers, the visualization tools can really help organize disparate ideas into a cohesive product roadmap. One flaw of airfocus is that it fails to live up to its ultimate utility because–like many SaaS products–it is dependent on the entire team, to include all stakeholders, to buy into the solution if it is to be a true one-stop solution for product roadmapping. However, there is no denying it greatly helps in getting teams a little bit closer to the goal of effective collaboration.
  • With only about a year of use, it is hard to measure the longterm ROI but it has led to significant savings in time spent organizing work products such as product roadmaps.
Airfocus offered the best mix of intuitive features for the price. It was not only important to find a product that stayed with the department's budget, but it was also important that the solution was usable from day one (i.e. did not require extensive training to use). Some of the competing products offered some nice to have bells and whistles but the complexity of using them was ultimately not worth the added time or cost.
They answered every single question we had in a timely fashion and furthermore, they went out of their way to make sure we had all the time we needed to fully evaluate the product. I think the fact that they truly valued customer feedback to improve the product made them feel more like a partner then just an off-the-shelf solution.

Airfocus is a great tool overall. It allows us to organize product features and requests and prioritize them according to impact/effort and how we define each of those metrics. The visualizations are also great, as well as the fact that we can sync everything bi-directionally with asana, our tasking tool.
  • Visualizations
  • Roadmap views
  • Integrations
  • Custom impact/effort logic
  • Can be expensive to give everyone access
  • Integrations could be more precise and powerful
If you are a product manager who has a lot of feature requests from various teams and want to prove out why your roadmap is built the way it is to your board or execs, airfocus is a perfect tool to do that.
  • We know exactly what the impact/effort is of our projects, so we don't waste time on projects or features that won't drive meaningful revenue or increased brand affinity.
I honestly don't know any other tools that do what airfocus does.
It seems like a small team, but they're very responsive even though they're in Europe, and we're in the US.
