Areas for Improvement

Not Exactly The Best

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I teach at a university and have used Airmeet in the past for classes and classroom events. It has been somewhat useful but had some limitations that could not be addressed. Originally, Airmeet sold lifetime deals. Last week they sent out an email saying that their business model was unsustainable and they were rescinding lifetime deals without refund. Thank goodness we hadn’t made it an integral part of the classroom experience. Expensive lesson learned. The best advice is to stick with the big guys who do the same thing at a fraction of the cost.

Pros

  • Video conferencing
  • Webinars
  • Chat

Cons

  • Regular pricing is very expensive for what it does
  • Support is somewhat lacking
  • Sometimes video is unreliable

Return on Investment

  • Changed pricing model such that included features could now cost over $4,000 a month

Makes online events feel offline, but new pricing is out of reach for SMEs and casual event operators

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Once offline events were impossible due to Covid-19, we moved our startup pitch events (demo days) online. Airmeet was better than Zoom due to the audience interaction features and "stage" which more closely resembled an offline event.

Pros

  • Speakers can join a "stage" and can be toggled on and off
  • The audience can interact via chat box, sending emojis and "claps," Q&A with speakers, and 1:1 and group messages.
  • Customized banners and stages with your brand
  • One website for registration + event info + event recap including video replay

Cons

  • Lag issues with large attendees across multiple countries
  • Payment has now been changed from monthly or individual events to annual membership plans (not necessary now in 2022)
  • The team should reward and respect long-term users and partners instead of overcharging them.

Most Important Features

  • Registration page + event page all-in-one
  • Ability for 1-3 people to run a whole event for 300 people
  • Great audience participation features

Return on Investment

  • We had 80-100 attendees per offline event, and by moving online with Airmeet, we regularly had 200-300 attendees per event.
  • We were able to invite 10x more investors from overseas since it was online
  • Able to quickly and easily market the event with a single link
