What is Amazon CloudWatch?
Amazon CloudWatch is a native AWS monitoring and observability service
built for DevOps engineers, developers, site reliability engineers (SREs), and
IT managers. CloudWatch provides users with data and actionable insights to
monitor applications, respond to system-wide performance changes, optimize
resource utilization, and get a unified view of operational health. CloudWatch
collects monitoring and operational data in the form of logs, metrics, and
events, providing users with a unified view of AWS resources, applications, and
services that run on AWS and on-premises servers. CloudWatch can be used to
detect anomalous behavior in environments, set alarms, visualize logs and
metrics side by side, take automated actions, troubleshoot issues, and discover
insights to keep your applications running smoothly. With Amazon CloudWatch, there is no up-front commitment or minimum fee; users simply pay for what they use.

Amazon CloudWatch: Complete Visibility of Your Cloud Resources and Applications
Support is effective, and we were able to get any problems that we couldn't get solved through community discussion forums solved for us by the AWS support team. For example, we were assisted in one instance where we were not sure about the best metrics to use in order to optimize an auto-scaling group on EC2. The support team was able to look at our metrics and give a useful recommendation on which metrics to use.
Amazon does a great job in providing documentation, guides for implementation and the community because of the broad adoption also has additional guides, articles and support groups for the environment. I've also been very happy with AWS tech support in providing guidance and answers to questions regarding CloudWatch.
AWS has different levels of support, the basic level isn't really the great stuff. But take into consideration millions of users use this cloud provider, so finding help in open forums is really good. Most of the problems you encounter are easy to find and this is really good for the end user.
Support from Amazon has been helpful when needed. I enjoyed the fact that the support agent that received the request will follow-up during the entire support workflow.
AWS Support is great, and even besides the official support, the user community support on the web is at least as great. They give quick answers to all your questions.
CloudWatch has a strong support team. They are usually pretty responsive. Most folks are also experienced and can resolve issues in a short period of time.
