I work in a tech sales organization. Therefore, metrics and activity are key components of my day-to-day job. Ambition makes it easy to track all this data and make sure I am staying on point with expectations as well as my peers. The tool is also intuitive and makes it fun to compete with others. This software not only keeps reps accountable but increases productivity by making each call count. The number of different metrics that are trackable are appreciated. I know that the entire worldwide organization utilizes this tool heavily and takes it very seriously.

Ambition is applicable to pretty much any sales organization. I believe it is well suited for younger generations like myself that enjoy the data as well as the competition. Any large sales team can benefit from this tool to maintain accountability and productivity.

A less applicable use would be for a door-to-door or outside sales organization. This may not be as useful as it is primarily used to track daily dials, talk time, etc.

This helps us incentivize performance via social reinforcement. High performers get rewarded by seeing their high metric attainment, and low performers can strive to reach that level.

  • Help our sales team see the results of their hard work, and compare to their peers (if you set it up that way).
  • Customization: Ambition offers specific features that can be hard to adapt to the exact metrics or content you want to show.
  • Reminders: I'd like to opt into notifications via email of key milestones, reminders to change content, etc.
  • Expensive: it's an expensive product for what you get. We don't offer incentive comp, so it's helpful to have a tool like this to socially celebrate success.
Well suited: environments that crave social affirmation, social competition, or other organizations that can't incentivize success via compensation.

Not well-suited: environments that support several similar roles that have different metrics. Example: we have 5 similar roles at my company that would benefit from Ambition, and each of these teams sits close to each other. It's challenging to customize Ambition to display multiple different roles with different metrics, rewards, and content. If you display the content on a screen in your office, it's best suited for only one role/team. Otherwise, you'll likely need to deploy Ambition to different teams separately, via a different account.

  • We rolled out a new metrics launch AND Ambition at the same time. Metrics attainment has risen significantly.
  • Some reps love seeing the results publicly, and some despise it. It highly depends on the sales culture of your team. The "non-salesy" types at our company only want to know their own metrics, and not participate in sales competitions or publicize the results.
I have evaluated a few products similar to Ambition, at a high level. I have not used others.

I implement Ambition at our office for one team, but I wasn't the only decision maker.

We use Ambition to track our daily call metrics, and ranks. We also use it to play a theme or anthem, chosen by the account manager, when he or she hits a designated goal. It's an excellent addition to our company's culture and morale. We have a roughly 25' wide projector playing the Ambition ticker at all times. I definitely recommend it for any competitive work environment.

Ambition is used as a KPI tracker and gamification system that keep sales associates on track with their critical KPI's in a public way. It is being used solely in the sales department. Ambition is used to keep sales associates focused on mission critical tasks and a point system that rewards the right work through gamification.

  • KPI tracking with customized point weighting system
  • Music that plays when one meets their KPI goals such as exceeding 100 points for the day or winning new business or converting a lead into an opportunity
  • Adding more insight for individuals to take action on the data.
Ambition is well suited for a sales team that deals with frequency touch points to their leads and customers.

  • Ambition uses a point system to help employees know where they stand in terms of performance during the day.
I have not tried alternatives to Ambition but could not see what additional changes or iterations another company could deploy that Ambition is not currently doing.
