I'd still prefer to use JMeter for its simplicity/ease of use, popularity in the testing community (more people know how to use it), and it is much easier to create a load test (from scratch) quickly with it when you need to.

Price, Wiki and user sharing. Having access to the information provided by the developers and other open source providers is key for me. The ability to share information and get answers directly is very important to success in software testing. And the price of this product currently is amazing. Too many companies charge way too much money for products that are far behind in their value and pertinence.

I renew Jmeter knowledge at each of last 3 working places (Sowtware companies, startups), as each web project\product requires performance testing and I use Jmeter to evaluate performance of web appliations\products. One more factor - Jmeter is free and easily configurable, so it takes me 1 day to configure testing env.

We are going to keep using JMeter, since most of our team already received training in it. I have been satisfied with their new releases, they are always up to date and at the moment there are no outstanding issues with the software that I can think of, that stand in a way of completing our test plans.

It's a free, open source project with great features and a strong community. If I ever need to do this form of testing again I'm definitely going back here.
